The rewriting of history by the Palestinian Authority is nothing new. As Palestinian Media Watch continually documents, the Palestinian denial of 3,000 years of Jewish history, and the invention of a several thousand year old Palestinian history, represents the foundation of their political ideology.
Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad Malki has threatened to sue Britain for issuing the 1917 Balfour Declaration because, he claims that it led to mass Jewish immigration to British Mandate Palestine “at the expense of our Palestinian people.” The Palestinian threat is not as laughable as it sounds. It’s not unexpected either, as part of the current Palestinian strategy to exploit any law and abuse any forum to delegitimise Israel.

Yesterday, we posted about a Telegraph op-ed by Bryony Gordon (Now they have come for families, July 16) on the Nice terror attack which erroneously suggested that the truck-ramming assault that claimed at least 84 lives (including 10 children) represented the first time in the West that jihadists targeted children. As we noted, contrary to Gordon’s claim, Nice did not in fact represent a monstrous “first” in the West. In 2012, three Jewish children (ages 3, 6 and 8) and one adult were brutally murdered by a jihadist named Mohammed Merah in an attack on a Jewish school in Toulouse. Following our post, we tweeted Ms. Gordon, asking for a comment.
It’s hard to imagine how, when writing her op-ed, Gordon could have forgotten about the Jewish children targeted in Toulouse, an attack accurately characterized as the “worst antisemitic atrocity on French soil in decades”.
In an Op-Ed in the Israeli Walla news site, Goren and Rom argued that while they did not think BtS was intentionally lying, the organization’s vetting process was “superficial and not strict enough.” In their opinion, BtS would be more credible were it present the soldiers’ accounts as testimonies for the public to debate and raw material for journalists to investigate, as opposed to verified actual events.

According to multiple news reports (including AP, Times of Israel and Al Jazeera), of the more than 800 Jerusalem homes recently approved, only 240 are for Jewish neighborhoods – 140 in Ramot and 100 in Har Homa and Pisgat Zeev.
