I am truly devastated that Nairobi's High Court declined to repeal Kenya's anti-gay law. But I'm standing in solidarity with our partners & all LGBTQI Kenyans and hold firm in my belief that justice and love will prevail. Onward to the next court.

Human rights violations + persecution of a free press are hallmarks of authoritarian rule. It is critical that the Burmese government continue to enact major reforms in protection of its people, including holding perpetrators of the violence against the Rohingya accountable.

What a relief to see Reuters reporters Wa Lone and Kyaw Soe Oo finally free. As the son of a journalist, I know firsthand the importance of protecting the free press. Myanmar's leaders can't be allowed to cover up atrocities by imprisoning journalists.

Great news out of Burma. Journalists should be free from the fear of being violently attacked or arrested for doing their jobs. The right of reporters to report the news is the right of all of us to know what is happening in our respective countries and in our world.
