    Our ultimate end goal isn’t a Select Committee. Our goal is to treat Climate Change like the serious, existential threat it is by drafting an ambitious solution on the scale necessary - aka a Green New Deal - to get it done. A weak committee misses the point & endangers people.

    This is also a frustration of mine with DC reporting. You’ll notice my reporting rarely if ever includes anonymous sources and if it does, it’s for the safety of the source.

    One disappointment about DC is the gossip that masquerades as “reporting.” This story has: - Not a SINGLE named or verifiable source - Only ONE on-the-record comment, which is a denial. My dad had a name for junk articles like this: “Birdcage lining.”
