    NATRE secondary survey is now live! NATRE is conducting a secondary survey to obtain information about the current state of RE, in order to support teachers by raising awareness of the impact of government policy on RE. Have your say!

    Useful meeting with ⁦⁩ talking about importance of religious literacy in their integration strat with ⁦⁩ We were able to showcase ⁦⁩ & ⁦⁩ ⁦⁩ Shared space work & other work. Watch this space.

    And of course one of the places this happens regularly is RE lessons. Good quality RE helps pupils to understand a whole series of worldviews (religious and non-religious)

    I would suggest all schools do this to a certain degree. However, it needs to be a priority so that children are not frightened by difference but learn to know & respect each other. The over emphasis on passing tests has meant many schools don’t spend enough time on these issues.

    Also good to see in the new framework that SMSC includes “knowledge of, and respect for, different people’s faiths, feelings and values” It should be clear to all now that RE must be taught to all pupils in all schools in all year groups
