    I'm not a dog person. I don't do figurines on mantels collecting dust. This little red dog is the last thing I would choose. Yet it has pride of place in our home. This little red dog contains the story of the Holocaust for my husband's family. It survived. /1

    My mother lives in Scotland alone since my father passed away. That she is too scared to wear her Star of David when she leaves her home makes me sick. Antisemitism may be a conspiracy theory but it impacts the real lives of its victims; Jewish people. Never forget this.

    Young Labour, the youth wing of the LP, just retweeted antisemite Asa Winstanley. /1

    Asa accused me of belonging to a front group for the Israeli embassy, just because I'm Jewish. I utterly oppose the Israeli government. It's upsetting that comrades on Young Labour committee have decided it's appropriate to RT him, on a week when I've received antisemitic abuse.

    The stain of antisemitism on the Labour Party will stay with it always. We will never forget or forgive the pain, fear and trauma it inflicted on friends and family. The shame should and will haunt them.

    People imagine this is some big political game where we’re all rubbing our hands with glee while we conspire. When we meet up to commiserate, it’s with exasperated shrugs & tears in our eyes. We’re fucking terrified. Jews in this country are terrified. And still they laugh at us.

    We need a consistent antiracism. Today was all about that for me. Finding explanations for these 'slip ups' is something we see others do over and over on antisemitism. They indicate at best a sloppy approach to antiracism and at worst, bigotry. Meaningful apology, no caveats.

    I wept through this press conference. For them and the painful act of leaving behind their political home. For my family as finally drastic action was taken that reflects how devastating Labour AS has been for us. I feel vindicated, acknowledged and heard. Thank you.

    I awoke to find I'd been added to a list entitled 'Imbecile'. I guess it's better than the 'Pedophiles' list that Jewish and ally friends have been added to. The person who added me is a Corbyn fan and quite liked the misogynist guy calling for the destruction of Israel. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Israel, as it currently stands, should cease to exist Heidi luv. There's no space for a state with Jim Crow, apartheid and ghetto polities in the 21st century. U can't just change the govt when the premise of the state itself is rotten.
