    On the whole, aphid numbers are down. But cereal harvest is underway and there has been a spike in grain aphids caught in suction traps. For , virus pressure is relatively high (especially towards northern parts of GB).

    OSR sulphur response experiments at 18 sites between 2011 and 2017. 10 of 18 sites showed yield response to S fertiliser of 0.1 to 4.4 t/ha. Economic optimum S rates were between 30 and 79 kg SO3/ha. We're recommending slight change to OSR S recommendations to 50-80 kg SO3/ha
