Rhizome supports contemporary art that creates richer and more critical digital cultures. An affiliate in residence at the New Museum in New York, Rhizome is the leading international born-digital art organization, online since 1996.

Founded by artist Mark Tribe as a listserv including some of the first artists to work online, Rhizome has played an integral role in the history, definition, and growth of contemporary art engaged with technology and the internet. Today, Rhizome commissions, exhibits, preserves, and creates critical discussion around digital art.
