I am moving to Toronto from Montreal and currently looking for an artist loft in the east end or beaches.
Everything I find in the city is incredibly small and expensive. Hopefully someone here can point to a good neighborhood or a gem
I am turning 25 next month and have a job I am happy in and make pretty good money. With that said, I always wanted to be a police officer. I am pretty fit and meet all the requirements but two aspects are holding me back. My driving record isn't clean. A year ago I drove not knowing my G2 expired - I was given a ticket and a one month suspension - resulting in 3 demerit points. I went to university and did pretty challenging majors and ended up with a low CGPA (2.3). Should I still give it a shot and apply or just stay where I am.
TL;DR Want to be a police officer but have 3 demerit points and a crap CGPA
What agency to I report companies offering fake jobs to mainland Chinese foreigners in order for them to get permanent resident status Canada by obtaining skilled employment. They also provide answers to exams and other sketchy things to get the Chinese in.
Anyone want to meet for a beer after work today? I work near Union and would love to meet new people.
I realized that I need to expand my current circle of friends as we all have similar backgrounds and work in the same industry (finance).
Early thirties, male, and easy going. I'm very normal, I promise you lol. We can talk about anything including sports, music (love 90s hip hop), travel. Just looking for a refreshing conversation.
Feel free to DM me. Looking forward to it!
For context I'm a university student living with 3 roommates downtown. When we moved in we signed up with a third party internet service, which proceeded to not give us service. Long story short a friend recommended bell fiber which seemed cheaper than I initially expected, although we all agreed we didn't want to spend more than $50 a month roughly.
I called bell and connected with a sales rep, where I told him our situation, telling him we were students. He excitedly told he was a "manager" and could give us a really good deal on a fiber student package, for $50 a month. Jackpot. I'd heard about tricks ISPs do and confirmed several times that the price stayed the same for a one year term. He confirmed, that the price wouldn't change, and that we weren't on a contract and could cancel anytime.
So I took this immediately because hell fiber for $50 a month is pretty good. My roommates agreed. Cue today, where my bill came in for $76. After deciphering the ridiculously convoluted bill and discount scheme, i found out our rep lied to us and two of our "discounts" expired.
Unfortunately i dont have a recording of him promising a consistent price, I know stupid. Is there anyone who's had a similar experience and has advice?
Just wondering if anyone knows pharmacy with cheap dispensing fee. I know Costco is the #1 answer usually, but they're really out of the way (as it would make sense for them to be). Thanks
Oh yea, I live in North York if that matters.
I’m not from there myself, but a lot of my friends all share a common dislike for Scarborough and there seems to be a general trolling of Scarborough amongst the greater Toronto community too. just seems to be the butt of Toronto jokes
