Sound Effects Libraries
A subreddit for discussing SFX libraries, sound effect vendors, and sound effects for film, television, and games. Indie libraries are welcomed here! Make your youtube, TV program, commercial, or application sound great with ambience / atmospheres, special effects, and sound design elements. Know about some free sound effects? Tell us! We'll also cover how to make and market your own SFX.
Subreddit Rules
- You may post about your SFX - You may post links to your own sfx libraries, sfx vending sites, or articles / blog / podcasts / video / works on the following conditions;
- It MUST be directly related to sfx libraries AND
- you MUST respond to all questions from our readers
- If you are posting about a sound effect or library, name the sound effect or the library in the title of your post
- If you are posting about your blog, podcast or article, identify it and the topic.
- Sale notifications must use the monthly specials post - Specials / Sales / Deals posts are no longer allowed on the front page of the subreddit. Instead, use the monthly specials sticky post comments to inform the subreddit about specials.
- URLs in post titles are not allowed
- All links submitted must be direct - Tracking services, referrals, and URL shorteners are not allowed
- Add flair to your posts (instead of using bracketed descriptors).
- ABSOLUTELY NO torrent linking - This subreddit is NOT friendly to pirating. Posts or comments suggesting/promoting it will be removed and the submitter will be banned.
