RailsConf is our annual gathering of Ruby on Rails enthusiasts, practitioners, and companies. It's not only the largest, but the oldest as well -- 2017 marks our 12th year! The conference has only grown more robust and exciting from year to year, which is a testament to the incredible Rails community. As an evolving snapshot of where Rails is each year, the RailsConf program is always fresh, especially as our content is almost completely community-generated from an open Call for Proposals and a blind review process. What stays the same every year though is the inclusion of multiple tracks of breakout sessions, two concurrent workshop tracks, our popular Lightning Talks, and a selection of thought-provoking and impactful keynotes. This year’s event is hosted in Phoenix, known for its year-round sun and warm temperatures. As the biggest metropolis in the American Southwest, Phoenix mixes exciting big-city attractions and breathtaking desert views.

A key goal at RailsConf is ensuring an inclusive and welcoming experience for all participants. On our Policies page, you can review or reacquaint yourself with 1) our Anti-Harassment Policy, which we require all attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and staff to comply with, with no exception and 2) our Accessibility Policy.

RailsConf 2017 will also feature complimentary onsite childcare for attendees who plan on attending with children. This is offered for the full duration of official conference programming. We engage professional, licensed childcare services, and as such, it's important for us to know as soon as possible how many children will be in attendance. Scholarships & Guides

RailsConf 2017 is offering a limited number of full conference registration scholarships, open to anyone who would not normally attend, though we specifically encourage students, women, minorities, and other underrepresented groups in the technology sector to apply. You can learn more here.
