Love WSJ - App Needs Improvement The WSJ is my paper of choice and I decided to try the app to augment my analog. Like the layout and how it presents the articles on my tablet. Nice and easy to navigate. Like the side nav that pops out. No way to comment on articles which is very disappointing. But! Up in the upper right corner is the ability to move to a browser to read that article there. I can comment there! Click that pup and it opens to the WSJ site proper with the article ready to go! Perfect - until I have to officially log in. My PW is back at home. I'm already logged into the app, why not pick that up for the paper? And why can't I copy a coupe of lines of text to share? And why no comments in the app anyway? Great paper, average app. But still worth having.

Great resource WSJ is not still a great source for news. However, the tablet app is less appealing than it formerly was. I like to be able to cut and paste sections of text when sharing on social media. The WSJ is missing something in eliminating this feature from the app. Quoting from an article draws my friends to your website, encouraging new subscribers. I think that I am promoting a reliable news source, providing truthful competition to the outlandish stuff some of my friends and acquaintances take seriously.

Good work 1. Night mode is now available. Yay. 2. Articles can be searched and saved. Great. 3. Online Readers comments on articles are not available. Some of your readers are very well informed and share new perspectives missed by the author. I can see them on the website. Please make them available on your app too. 4. Content Unavailable? Over past several weeks I periodically get "content unavailable". The only reliable method to get the app to work again is delete cache/data and re-enter login credentials. On a Samsung G5 Active with up to date SW.

Good source of news for the buisness minded Very factual news source that tells of all goings on around the business world. Especially enjoy the live stock tie in to show trends and maybe some relation to each story. Opinion pieces can leave some to be desired as editors have a clear conservative lean that plays up the petroleum and mining industries.

Won't update to current edition I'm a paid subscriber and it constantly gives me a day old edition or won't update. According to some user help articles I've turned to, this problem has existed since 2014 and still has not been resolved. I believe I should be able to read what I have paid for. I am extremely disappointed that the app cannot deliver and has not been fixed.

Nothing special The app is just OK. Sometimes content does not load until refresh the feed. Just be aware that once you are a subscriber WSJ will make it as difficult and inconvenient for you to unsubscribe so they can continue the recurrent charges on your cc. Bad business practice. Why would you do something like this unless you are unable to keep subscribers because of the mediocre quality of the content.

Needs to be better soon. Very disappointed with the recent Wall Street Journal upgrade. The app does not allow you to stay with in the browser it keeps forcing one to go back to the app. This creates a problem when you need to cut and paste to grab pictures. I will remove the app shortly and possibly end my subscription with the Wall Street Journal. I agree with several users who state that there should be a technology embedded within the app that will read the paper allowed to you.

Slow and buggy I love the paper but not sure about the app. I still can't set it to default to today's paper version. Thus, the app spent a few seconds loading the latest news which I don't really care to read most of the time. The automatic download works well on my phones.

The tablet version of the app does not offer the digital replica version of the paper and that is a significant negative for me. I get the replica version on my android phone as well as on my Windows PC...why limit the tablet version to just a list of articles? Doesn't make sense to me. Give us a choice.

Still needs work The app is getting better but could still be better. When I "download" today's paper it does not get the whole paper. Still needs to connect to the Internet. Not good when in a tunnel or just bad reception. Almost all other paper apps are better

Antiquated Technology! For $32.99 monthly WSJ app should unquestionably have the ability to read every article to me while driving or riding a train to work. Both Bloomberg and The Economist apps include this capability without a monthly charge. No business publication is more valuable then WSJ, so please value your subscribers time by upgrading this app! Clean and to the point When you are looking for news this app makes it easy to do so. Clean interface without any frills and you get what you want easily. Only issue, with a chart heavy article it sometimes crashes badly

Great news for the conservative reader, period! Used to be a heavy Times reader in high school, but that was then and this is now. I've been reading WSJ since I was a junior in college. Better articles , interesting facts,and overall quality than quantity.

Articles don't always open.... Several times recently I've had to close WSJ and reopen application to begin reading. Update 11/16. Previous problems have gone away. Now my problem is having to deal with a myriad of advertising with our paid subscription. Sometimes it just seems to takeover.

Awesome app! Great layout, easy navigation, great content. I love WSJ for its content. I used to read on the web site, which is less than optimal from a smartphone. But the app fixes that issue. It's a great app, well designed and easy to navigate, and is a fantastic way to read WSJ content on the small screen.

Not great, since it sends me to website The good thing is the dark reader mode with white text on a black background. The bad thing is when it directs me to the site for an article, which uses a very bright white background, ignoring my settings.

The Android app is as bad as their mail delivery of the paper. One day you get it, and one day you don't. My subscription expires in January 2017, and after twenty years, the WSJ will be no more at my residence and office.

Inner face is still 2nd rate Layout is not very creative, but the content is still 5 star. I also don't like that you have to logout of there site and the log in with a different device. I have multiple devices around my house and I can't use the app because I forget to log out of one device before I switch to another one.

Lots of news, very little political spin If you're looking for solid news and no (or very little) political spin and huggy feel-good distractions, the wallstreet journal seems to be a good start as a general news source.

New update for Nexus 7 is poorly built, designed, and tested. No landscape view. No history of past newspapers that you paid for. Just current news. I paid for June 2 newspaper, I want it --- even on June 5. If we only get current news and not every newspaper, I might as well use Google news for free. This app doesn't work on airplanes. I pay for offline use and it wont work without an internet connection. It also makes me log back in all the time. Old app was better. I tried going to archived issues. Do some testing on an airplane and no internet connection. The app requires an internet connection, even for offline viewing. Update, 11/20/2016 - New Asus Zenpad Z8, keep getting "content unavailable" error. Getting ready to board a plane and I will have no content again. It must work offline, and it doesn't. Select latest news or today's edition and blank screen is all I see with a "Content Unavailable" error. On 4G or WiFi can find the content. Do you have a test department?

No landscape mode Just updated to the new version of the app. Second update since they made the app unusable on tablets and still no rotate to landscape mode. Newsflash - People buy tablets to read things like the WSJ and people use the tablet in landscape mode.

For the past week or so, maybe more, the WSJ Android app crashes on every article after a few seconds. I've tried everything, from clearing the cache to uninstalling and re-installing the app. This is after several years when the app has worked well. Now, until this bug is fixed, the app is useless on my tablet. It works OK on my phone (but of course with a much smaller screen).

Avid news reader approves In an age of absolute untrustworthy news outlets everywhere you look, the WSJ is one news source I still have faith in to do their job as unbiased & take their responsibilities serious unlike clown shows such as CNN NBC and sadly NYT. App is definitely worth having if you are a subscriber to WSJ.

Where's the stock market status? Generally like the summaries with the ability to click for the entire article, but where can you see the current market info? Searched through all the tabs once again to no avail. When I searched on a ticker symbol, all I got was a list of old articles - no current quote.
