Again, have you read it? Have you looked up the Jewish author?

A great thread taking down Jeremy Hunt's vexatious comparisons between doctors and airline staff.

Just to be clear as you retweet, here's the start of the author of this 'antisemitic' book's bio: "Pappé was born in Haifa, Israel, to German Jewish parents who fled Nazi persecution in the 1930s."

You may disagree with any of all of those statements, but none of them make someone a Nazi - let alone anyone happening to be at an event where the book is sold. The Nazis burned books, and Jews.

Not at all. A march is a common and utterly non-threatening metaphor in a political context. When people have marched in support of the NHS, or against the Iraq war, were they being threatening?

Looks fun to me. Wish I could have been there. Great to see young people taking about politics, making friends and enjoying themselves. Beats me why people would see it as weird, embarrassing or sinister.

I didn't understand them as a hierarchy either. I was just saying that I think point 10 is itself the wrong way round.

Point 10 is backwards. Most kids need good pastoral care, at home and school, to help them get good exams. And of course, (whisper it), exam results aren't the major determinant of lifelong success.

One important difference too! Medical RCTs also highlight 'side effects' - educational RCTs never do....Phonics could be a case in point?
