YouTube asked me to make a playlist. I picked videos that I find myself referring back to regularly because they changed how I see some aspect of the physical world. I love the feeling when my mental model of things gets an update.

This is exactly the type of attitude I hope to move the needle on even a little. In other countries, teaching is much more prestigious. High school physics changed the course of my life. I selfishly want to be a part of that for others where I can see it more tangibley than vids.

I’m about a year out from having my dream job (I won’t stop making vids though).

Next time! Honestly, your ballistics gel making expertise might have come in handy. I wonder if there is some hybrid combination that would be more reslilliant to the sun and warm temps.

Yeah. It’s more of a claw/crawl though. But the act of doing that breaks it up. Then it looks like the kid in the vid who is swimming.

This was the most physically demanding and it was a concentrated 7 days. The pain of the dart board was also spread out over 3 years :)

NEW VIDEO!! I’ve wanted to swim in a pool of Jello since I was a wee lad. This was a really difficult engineering challenge and the hardest I’ve ever worked on a video by far.

I did. Looked at something like a tankless water heater. In the end this solution was better because we only boiled a quarter of the barrel (with all the gelatin) then we added in cold water so it went into the pool much cooler which is what you want.
