Yes, similar to Israel restricting & disallowing reparations to native Palestinians.

Yes, let's insure only the state has access to really efficient defense weapons. King George would approve, and so would Hitler.

Because the Palestinians remain the longest active refugees on Earth. Before Syria, 1/3 of world refugees Palestinian, displaced only because they're Christian/Muslim. Better question: why do YOU feel Israel shouldn't finally meet obligations to repatriate them as EQUALS?

The cost of hospital services includes medical technology, IT mandates by the government, expensive facilities standards, administrative overhead to meet regulations. Professional salaries have not inflated on the same line!

In 2003, I paid $20,000 after rebate for a Saturn Ion “Level 2”, got me per windows, locks, tilt, cruise, automatic, and CD player. Today, a compact economy car for that price comes with waaay more equipment, per, efficiency. But, the top end equipment is more like luxury cars.

Most of your base models have more equipment, safety, power, efficiency, and quality, than a few years ago. Very little increase in price. Most comparably equipped models (to the one someone bought 5 years ago, have increased in cost marginally.

I’d be interested to see the same graph in different countries, esp of “socialist” countries, to see how much they differ.

It appears the burden of inflation is definitely hitting those who are already struggling... Cheaper TV's doesn't help put food on the table

The dumbing down of America has been very successful. Most Americans sell hamburgers and TV's to each other. Our high schools pump out kids who can barely read, but they can work the register at Walmart and McDonald's.

administrative costs is a big reason why. For example, there are 1300 billing clerks for Duke University hospital, and that hospital has 900 beds total. Reasoning is due to need to structure bill to meet requirements of multiple insurance providers.

Wages for most Americans aren't outpacing inflation. Remove the top 5% or top quintile, and wages are NOT keeping up. These charts show what's really happened with wages, providing context and clarity:

Healthcare is the only thing you buy and have no idea upfront how much it will cost. No price controls.

TL/DR - The skyrocketing costs of education, childcare, medical care, housing & food are NOT adequately offset by falling prices of consumer goods. This is why many millennials aren't starting families.
