Private threat intel teams need to move beyond just hiring the same US/UK govt intel people, with the same group think, in offices in DC (or Cheltenham) if we want to build trust and have new ideas. There's talent in government but we need some distance.

'[untried new tech] will solve housing' is a modest news subgenre. Somewhere there is a parallel to the "will [untested new molecule] cure cancer?" story. Me? I propose solving the global shelter crisis with machine learning, on a blockchain, in the cloud. Standby for the ICO.

The global shelter crisis has never been a housing materials problem. Shelter problems come from webs of poverty, land market dynamics, health issues, and [insert many more issues here].

A takeaway: many operators are still using credential phishing. Reason? Two factor authentication rates still abysmal on many major platforms, with only incremental improvements. True for years.

Agreed. Strava's data is modest compared to others. Their (unintentional) gift to the public conversation? A spooky visualization of how we look to big data, and a chance for anyone with a browser to explore how an adversary might try and exploit what lurks within.
