There isn't a lot of information about it. If I remember correctly, after Hamilton's death, a friend of Hamilton's mentioned that he had been asked to take part in that kind of project.

It's official: Congress Prkwy has officially been renamed Ida B. Wells Drive! This is the first time in 50 years the City of Chicago has renamed a city street. I can't think of a more deserving Chicagoan than Ida B. Wells. Proud to have worked w to make it happen!
