It was a dry week across southern & central England but wetter in the north, especially the north-west. Our weekly report shows river flows decreased at just over half of sites & are classed as normal for time of year at a third of sites

Hi Leigh, EA are responsible for protecting the Irwell from blockages that cause flooding. Council are still responsible for flytip, river or no. We also do channel maintenance though. I'll tell our team in case we can retrieve during normal schedule - Joz
