He will be okay. There's that teshuvah from Hatam Sofer that says that in Nuremberg and Furth the German minhagim are already tainted by Polishisms.
(BTW, geographically, Nuremberg/Furth is where the Rhine and Danube basins meet)

Considering that 4 city council seats went to a flagrantly anti-religious party, it's hard to say that Modi'in is tolerant.
If it means that Modi'in's religious Jews are tolerant of non-religious, then sure. But it's by no means a 2-way street.
