To all those who promoted this resolution: Why did you omit Hamas? Did you forget that the EU designated Hamas as a terrorist organization? When Paris was attacked by ISIS the international community stood with Paris. But when Israel is attacked by Hamas you blame us,the victim.

We recognize the US, and all who did not support this resolution, for their moral clarity. The Security Council also had the opportunity to adopt the resolution proposed by the US which rightly named Hamas and the other terrorist groups as the root cause of this conflict

This was a hypocritical resolution that sought to condemn Israel while failing to even mention the terrorists of Hamas. We thank the US for vetoing the resolution and commend all the Council members who, in refusing to support it, defended Israel’s right to defend our citizens
