Help us Build Ghost
Ghost is an Open Source project which is created almost entirely by volunteers. There are lots of ways you can get involved and help the project grow and improve. Here are some ways for you to get started!
Know How to Code? Help us
The Ghost project is hosted over on GitHub. This is where our developers work hard on the next version(s) of the software. To get involved with developing Ghost, check out our detailed contributing guidelines. We credit all contributors to the Ghost project in every major and minor release.
We hold public development meetings and chat in our Slack team. We also maintain a public roadmap and dev blog to give you an idea of what's being worked on right now, and what's coming next.
We're currently looking for lead contributors in the following roles:
- i18n Lead - Doin' them translations
- Search Lead - Head of finding things
Found a Problem? Let us Know
If you think you've found a bug or a problem with Ghost, please let us know! First, search our issue tracker to search to see if someone has already reported the problem. If they haven't, click here to open a new issue, and fill out the template with as much information as possible. The more you can tell us about the problem and how it occured, the more likely we are to fix it. Check our full guidelines for more details.
Please do not report security vulnerabilities on the public issue tracker. The Ghost Security Policy details the procedure for responsible disclosure of security issues.
Help People Get Help
Our slack community is full of thousands of users talking about Ghost. Many people need help getting Ghost installed for the first time, writing their first theme or app, or just getting feedback for some of their publishing ideas.
If you can help someone in slack, in future they will be able to help someone else. Supporting users is one of the absolute most important parts of the Ghost project.
Documentation
As Ghost grows, so does our need for great documentation. Ghost has documentation across many different areas, from user guides on how to use the software to in-depth API documentation for developers.
Our theme and api documentation both have a 'suggest edits' button, however if you have ideas for larger improvements, new sections or want to add something to our main docs come chat to us in Slack, we'd love some help.
