Verticals

This page lists verticals for targeting or excluding categories of placements. See Codes and Formats for other targeting criteria.

To retrieve the list of content verticals through the API, use ConstantDataService.getVerticalCriterion.

Creating vertical criteria

When creating a Vertical criterion to target or exclude a specific category of placements, set its path field such that each part of the listed category corresponds to an element in the path array. For example, to target the "Hobbies & Leisure > Outdoors > Hiking & Camping" category, set path to ["Hobbies & Leisure", "Outdoors", "Hiking & Camping"].

Getting placement category ideas

When using TargetingIdeaService to return placement category ideas (requestedAttributeTypes includes PLACEMENT_CATEGORY), use the Verticals table below to find the human-readable category that corresponds to the returned placement category ID.

Download CSV. Note that in the CSV, parent category ID replaces the category path of the table.
