Mario Maier (Mario Jacob): Hallo, erstmal Dankeschön für diese Hangouts, die haben mir schon sehr weitergeholfen, meine Frage: wenn ich zum Beispiel in WordPress mit einem A/B Test Plugin zwei verschiedene Titel oder andere Inhalte wie verschiedene Newsletterformulare teste, was haltet Google davon, wenn sich der Inhalt so ändert? Und ist von A/B Tests allgemein abzuraten oder ist das kein Problem?

Jon Sharman: Hi Jon, Our site currently has an extensive set of outbound links (1000s) that have nofollow attached - these link out to reference sites and useful information - if we remove these nofollow tags in one go will there be a positive or negative effect?
My thoughts are that such extra information should improve the value of the pages but my fear is that adding so many visible links to the page may in Google's eyes lower the value and have a negative affect

Hugo Roger: How can I fix duplicate content without looking as if I am using automated synonymizing or obfuscation techniques? After all synonymizing wold be part of fixing content right? I ask this because I bought a website that unfortunatly had Ads disabled due to duplicate content and I have been fixing it for a few months now but sometimes I am afraid that fixing all this content is considered wasted time and the penalty will never be lifted. Can you help? Or is my best option to delete all the content?

wie im letzten Beitrag geschrieben möchte ich gerne mein Problem nochmal vorbringen.

Meine Frage bezieht sich auf den Google Index für Partnerseiten. Mit dem Ranking auf Google selbst bin ich soweit zufrieden. Meine Seiten erscheinen häufiger unter den Top10 Suchergebnissen für spezielle Keywords und das deutschlandweit. Leider sind die Seiten aber auf Google-Partnerseiten wie z.b. t-online.de oder web.de überhaupt nicht auffindbar.
D.h. aus meiner Sicht fehlen Sie im Index, obwohl diese Partner-Seiten ja auch direkt auf den Google Index über eine eigene CSE zugreifen.
Was kann ich als Webseitenbetreiber tun um auch dort zumindest im Index zu stehen? Mir geht es nicht um das Ranking auf Partnerseiten sondern erstmal um das bloße erscheinen.

Meine betroffenen Webseiten sind mikroskop-center.de, mikroskop-verleih.de und centerfy.de.

Meine weiteren Nachforschungen haben ergeben, dass ich mit einer selbst erstellten CSE das gleich Problem habe - die Seiten sind nicht indiziert.

Eine Vermutung geht nun Richtung falscher Einstellungen bei "Google MyBusiness" und der Frage nach "I deliver goods and services to my customers at their location" -yes/no

Wir hatten dort "yes" eingetragen - da wir als Versandhändler natürlich auch Waren an unsere Kunden senden. Mittlerweile bin ich mir aber unsicher, ob das so richtig ist. Kann mein Problem damit zusammenhängen? Und wenn ja, was wäre die richtige Einstellung bei dieser Frage für uns als Händler?

ein Problem mit einem google maps Eintrag, den ich für einen BUG halte:
Google maps Suche für Hostel+Frankfurt listet unser Haus, das Five Elements Hostel, https://5elementshostel.de/frankfurt nicht:

google.de - Hostel in der Nähe von frankfurt

dafür einigen nicht Unsinn wie Arbeiterwohnheime, die mit Hostel nichts zu tun haben. Seis drum. Die Suche ist mit 8 Resultaten abschliessend (?) man kann nicht weiterblättern (denke war früher anders)

Aber jetzt wirds spannend: eine beliebige Einschränkung der Suche (z.B. min. Rating 1 Stern) führt dazu das wir angezeigt werden!

und noch besser: auch wenn man diese Einschränkung wieder entfernt, werden wir angezeigt, und es gibt 15 statt 8 Suchergebnisse.

Was machen wir falsch? Den Eintrag gibt es seit 10 Jahren, und es gibt gerade mal 6 Einträge im Keywordbereich Hostel für Frankfurt?

Unser zweites Haus, https://5elementshostel.de/leipzig in Leipzig, existiert erst seit 2 Jahren, weniger backlinks, identischer Seitenaufbau, grössere keywordkonkurrenz (20+ Hostels in der Stadt) ist bei der maps Suche auf Platz 4 ...

Sharp WebDev: Hi Google Team,

We've have some real interesting mixed up results in the index currently. You can search for a term, get a title, description that don't match the term and aren't even on the page for the url.

We have an Angular app. We've worked with the Angular team, previous Google employees and they said that I needed to look to the webmaster forum to get answers.

I posted a question over a week ago and it hasn't been answered (I'm sure you get a ton of questions daily) and I'm not sure what the turn around time is on those.

I decided to join you guys today to see if I could make some headway on the issues we've had.

This is the question in the forum. Hopefully we'll get a chance to talk about this.

János Pásztor: I'd have a few question too:

1. I have a content site (kind of a blog) which has primary content pages (full articles) and listing pages that group articles by categories, etc.

Since I think that, when searching, the listing pages don't represent too much value to the user, should I mark those pages with noindex,follow?

The full site is marked up with schema.org markup, so Google should understand my site fairly well on it's own.

2. In social media you can see a trend that easier to consume content is being rewarded more. Harder to consume, in-depth content doesn't gain traction as easily. Do you observe or encourage this trend in Google?

3. Does Google Analytics data factor into search crawling or ranking? In other words, am I worse off if I decide not to use GA?

Thanks for answering my question a few weeks back. Another one (if you can):

How can I definitely see non personalized results in Google search (not using my history)? Is the only way to do this to remove/disable cookies completely? I've disabled Personal Results in search settings and paused Web & App Activity in activity controls but when I do a fresh install of Google Canary, I get very different results.
