Apple Inc. aapl /quotes/zigman/68270/delayed /quotes/zigman/68270/lastsale AAPL unveiled a refresh to its Mac lineup and a new TV guide-like app for Apple TV at its “Hello Again” event Thursday at its Cupertino, California headquarters. The event was held two days after the company reported a 17% drop in Mac revenue in its fourth-quarter earnings report. The company also posted declines for total sales and for the all-important iPhone for the third consecutive quarter. Apple expects to return to growth in current quarter, however, forecasting revenue in the range of $76 billion to $78 billion, which would be slightly better than the FactSet consensus of $74.9 billion.

No surprises from the ECB in its policy announcement, which was a carbon copy of its September missive.
As expected, the ECB left the interest rate on its refinancing operations at 0%, while holding the deposit rate at minus 0.4% and the deposit rate at 0.25%, reiterating that policy makers "expect the key ECB interest rates to remain at present or lower levels for an extended period of time, and well past the horizon of the net asset purchases."
On those asset purchases, the ECB affirmed that it intends to continue them at the current pace of €80 billion a month run "until the end of March 2017, or beyond, if necessary, and in any case until it sees a sustained adjustment in the path of inflation consistent with its inflation aim."
