Tesla Motors Inc. reported results from the first quarter of the year after the bell Wednesday. The electric-car company had already divulged disappointing preliminary quarterly sales deliveries of fewer than 15,000 vehicles, admitting that production issues with the Model X kept Tesla from hitting its target of 16,000. But Chief Executive Elon Musk did not let those production issues deter him, instead moving up his schedule for production by two years. MarketWatch reporter Claudia Assis (@ClaudiaAssisMW) and tech editor Jeremy C. Owens (@jowens510) live-blogged the release of the results and subsequent conference call.
