Best answer: Pitbulls are scum of the earth, murderous creatures that should of never have been created.
They were made and billed as the ultimate fighting dog, particularly the jaw of a pitbull is so strong once it has you trapped between its teeth it locks then mauls you to death. Pitbull lovers will say bla bla bla they were created for bear hunting, but its historical fact as soon as this breed came to life it was tossed in the ring and tore other breeds to shreds. Hence the name 'pit' bull as in pit fighter. It's not rocket science to work that one out.
In fact I've only seen a pitbull in America (they are banned here in the UK) and the people that own these dogs are poor white trailer trash kind of people or black ghetto people.
Other than the jaw, what makes them dangerous, is that they are evil and want to hurt and injure people, they are one of the few dogs that really has no emotions, they are single track minded. And seem to favorite killing small children, babies ( people that can't defend themselves).
I'm glad you bought up the point about the owners, you are right, pitbulls that have been treated well with no abuse always end up attacking the owner and scarring them for life. Once again, its the pitbull not the owner. These stupid animal extremists sound like totally uneducated imbeciles, they defend the dog no matter what.
People say 'oh it's how they were raised' do you people know how mentally retarded you sound?
This breed should be exterminated from the planet.
UPDATE: Here is some stats for the vast majority of ignorant pitbull lovers..
34 U.S. dog bite-related fatalities occurred in 2015. Despite being regulated in Military Housing areas and over 700 U.S. cities, pit bulls contributed to 82% (28) of these deaths. Pit bulls make up about 6.6% of the total U.S. dog population.
Together, pit bulls (28) and rottweilers (3), the second most lethal dog breed, accounted for 91% of the total recorded deaths in 2015. This same combination also accounted for 76% of all fatal attacks during the 11-year period of 2005 to 2015.
The breakdown between this breed is substantial over this 11-year period. From 2005 to 2015, pit bulls killed 232 Americans, about one citizen every 17 days.
And that's just the killing, people that were brutally bitten but made it out live were not included in the stats. People outside of America were also not included.
