    The Prime Minister and The Duke of Cambridge have arrived in Amiens, greeted by a Guard of Honour of British and French Armed Forces personnel. The UK, France, United States, Australia and Canada - allies in the battle - are all represented in the commemorations.

    Today marks the centenary of the Battle of Amiens, which was a decisive victory for the allied powers during the First World War. At an event at Amiens Cathedral later the Armed Forces will lead the whole country in remembering the sacrifices made 100 years ago.

    Commemorating the 10th anniversary of Russia’s military aggression against Georgia. Not a one-off as my Ukrainian colleague has pointed out. This is part of a pattern of behaviour whereby Russia violates others’ sovereignty.
