An update made my rating from 5 to 2 This is happening more and more after an update - podcast will stop but app didn't crash. I have to hit play and find my place on the podcast episode because it didn't save my place. The app also doesn't refresh out of offline mode. If I'm in the elevator without service when I open the app and get out, offline mode is still on until I restart my phone.

Use it daily, very few bugs compared to similar products Previous rating: In the last week or so, 'play favorites' no longer plays through my favorites playlist. It always starts right where I left off, but then, once the show finishes, it re-starts the show again in the same place! This feature is the most important to me, as I really value being hands free. Please fix so I can give a higher rating! I have an android device (HTC One).

Adds are annoying I would like the app better if there was an add free options. The streaming options is amazing and works better then any other podcast app i have tried and the display is pretty good as well. But when it comes to the next episode an add plays, if there was a pro version which eliminates adds i would buy it.

Don't use. This app was so inconvenient to use. It was always in offline mode when I was clearly online and then it was really difficult to get back to the original play list. On top of that, the podcast I subscribed to never updated with the author's most recent podcasts. This app was so difficult to use that it made me stop listening to my favorite podcast.
Used to be better I use this app heavily and until recently have been very happy with it. Now however my listening is constantly interrupted by ads. I understand the need to make money so that isn't my issue. The ads run then the app either flicks me off to a different podcast or loops and won't let me go back to one I was listening to. Very poor. I'm now looking for a replacement app.

Buffers even when connected Constantly just buffers & says no content/ no connection even though I'm connected. Eventually after awhile the show will have downloaded, & I can play then an ad pops up & goes back to the buffering. Its been doing this since the last update.

The Stitcher Team Offline mode I don't understand why the app is constantly on Offline Mode stating it needs a connection when I am connected at home at all times. It is frustrating since I am unable to listen to any further episodes until a supposed connection is established. When all goes well however, it is a great app and I am lucky enough to also have the Stitcher app in my car.
Add ability to reorder listen later list Stitcher has been my go to podcast app for years now, although I have to admit I have not compared it to others. One thing keeps driving me crazy -- the offline listen later list is ordered with most recently added on the top with no ability to edit the order. So if you want to create a continuous playlist for yourself in a particular order, you need to consider the order at the time of adding episodes to the listen later list. It would be tremendously helpful to be able to reorder the list.
Turned lemonaid into a lemon Was a 5 star app and i used it exclusively, but it crashed for 4 days and i started using podcast addict. Cant find certain podcasts i enjoy on stitcher that are available with podcast addict. Ill keep both for now and decide which one to use through trial and error. Update: Downgraded to 2 stars now from 4 because it wont connect to my wifi with a full signal for a couple days now. Constantly on offline mode. To many problems with stitcher. Used to be great i suggest another app.
The app is down for maintenance? So it simply can't be used at all? Till when? Like, just, whenever? I've been using this app for 2 days. Only 2 days. And it's already stopped working. Fix fast and I will increase my rating
Ads! The ads used to be not too bad but they are slowly but surely becoming unbearable. I can hardly scroll through episodes of podcasts because ads keep coming up. This app was amazing before the ads became so pervasive. Please devs stop ruining everyones experience! Would pay for ad free!
Usually does NOT work on Galaxy Note 5; I press play now (several ways to do this) repeatedly, and either nothing happens, or it goes back to a previous episode. It alerts me of available episodes for podcasts I've never expressed interest in. NO FEEDBACK MECHANISM to make suggested improvements or report bugs.
Ads cripple the app in many ways The ads aren't hardware accelerated and slow down the whole app. We are talking lag of often more than five SECONDS on high end hardware. Please, give us a one time in app purchase to get rid of the ads. Also, the small ads open in a large ad window which is clearly a bug, and needs to be fixed. And just get rid of the big ads altogether.
Playback skips constantly I loved this app at one time. Now with all the skipping I have come to despise this app. I have high-speed Wi-Fi so their excuse of slow speed internet is crap. Fix it and I will love it again, until then though I am switching to another app that can handle streaming.
Garbage now Slow downloads, dated interface, inability to move pods to different playlists, loses connectivity to Bluetooth constantly, annoying pop-up ads, notification screen controls missing... app feels completely abandoned.
Really love this app, especially offline mode for runs. Sometimes it has conmectivity issues when I have full wifi though and that can be frustrated. In addition, since the last review there has been an issue with my background widgit working.
Problems with streaming Really loved stitcher for awhile. Unfortunately when I stream on wifi or mobile it skips almost like a record or CD. It jumps ahead and back too. Also Welcome to nightvale won't work anymore. Just that one . There is an error message. Even after reinstall. Bumbed. Searching for new player as we speak.
If you're new to stitcher DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT It has gotten to the point of being totaly useless. I've used this app for years, the idea is good, but it just doesn't work. It will not download for off line listening , and won't stream for more than 5 minutes. Also says I'm offline when I'm not. And the sad part is it doesn't get better. I'll sadly be switching to a more reliable app
I like the content but the app frequently stops and shuts itself off. My place in the podcast isn't saved. (Update) problems listed above were corrected but now there are new problems. App has become glitchy; frequently skipping forward and back. Edit: still some glitch issues but getting better.

The Stitcher Team Will re-rate if the update is fixed. Not the first time the app has updated to the point that is doesn't work. Last time it took them weeks to fix. App goes to offline mode for no reason interrupting podcast and not saving your spot. Force stopping fixes the problem but only for about 5 minutes. Love this app when they aren't trying to improve it.
LOVE it - Currently a Problem My "Go-To" podcasting app. Love it. But, I've had a problem recently where when after using the Sleep Timer, the app goes into "Offline Mode". The only way to fix this is to Force Close(Stop) the app in Android and reopen. Once fixed this is totally a 5 star app.
My podcasts have started jumping around?? Things happen, but I can see you all are working on it. I have over 2k hours of listening on Stitcher and I'm not interested in switching. Still showing offline very often now...Update: uninstalled

Used to be great. This app used to be excellent. I used it for all of my podcasts. Recently though is become massively flaky. Switches to offline mode despite having full signal, won't play downloaded episodes in offline mode, continually interrupts playback with errors. I swore by this app but now I'm looking for a new one instead. Very poor.
Lisa It's a good app, but there are too many ads. These full page ads pop up way too often and are annoyingly intrusive. Please fix this.

Stitcher includes a 4x1 Widget. Love app but not working as intended I have had this app for a few months now. Finally found a decent podcast app without having to have an iPhone. Previous podcast apps were just crap. Now since they reported outages or new episodes not showing up it no longer works. I put in requests a few times to get it fixed, tweeted at them but yet I'm just ignored. If you put out an app you serve the customers and help them what they need to do. Great app and easy to use, horrible customer service. Until they help me I'm rating this a meh 2.
It WAS good It WAS good until maybe 2 months. Now it just keeps going offline and doesnt allow you to listen to anything. If you do get lucky and get to play something, it'll cut off in a few minutes. Takes too long to fix the issue.
Love the app and live by it! Ive been using it for a while now. But recently it hasn't been downloading at all even when I am on WiFi at home. It seems to be stuck in offline mode. Sadness.
Their main design is to now encourage mistaken clicks of their ads. Update: I have now uninstalled it as they have moved to video ads. 2GB data plan + an app wanting to load a 50MB ad is not a good mix. The ads now expand to cover the content, thus if you forget the app in the foreground, it will kill your data plan. They have completely ruined the app by getting too greedy with their ad model.
Few things to make it perfect Needs more shows, ability to leave feedback on the shows (u really not social at all, it's just a glorified player) the most wanted feature I want is the ability to change play speed on the lock screen widgets, not having to open the app to change the speed, also, I want to pay, hate adverts, they are irrelevant to where I am, plz give us option to opt out of adds! Another problem, the episode title should be the main title, not the show name, I already know what I'm listening! Could be better 😱
This was a 5 start review... but Was the only app I recommend to other people. Now it is so buggy and there seems to be little effort to fix it. Time to look for a new listing app
Offline mode is annoying Everytime I get on, offline mode turns on and it's incredibly difficult to disable it, if it's even possible to do at all. With offline mode, I cannot search for anything or change episodes or stations.
Stitched has become completely unteliable Been using Stitcher for over 5 years. Latest versions completely unreliable. Offline mode gets buffering errors constantly. Useless when traveling. They need better developers.
I only use this because it is integrated with Mazda Although it is the least usable podcast app I've tried (Apple's Podcasts, Overcast), I continue because I can control it through the on-dash controls of my CX-5. There appears to be no way to download previous episodes of a show. Downloads don't happen in background. It's hard to tell at a glance what you've already listened to. Overall, the UI is clunky and takes some time to get used to.
Well that's the last straw. I used to love app, I rated it high and sang its praises, but now it only brings me fatigue and frustration. This app has one purpose, to play podcasts. That it can't do it competently is the reason I have to rate this so low now. It has intrusive ads which I would not mind since the UI is so much better then most podcatchers, however these ads never return you to the podcast you were listening to. This is simply unacceptable, I'm saving all my favorite podcasts to a different program and deleting this.

Update to version 3.6.1 and enable the Minimize Cellular Data setting and optionally the Download Before Playing setting. 8 Pop Up Ads Over A 45 minute listen I've used this app for the last two years and it use to be my favorite way to listen and find podcasts. But now there are way too many ads that pop up when you're searching for a podcast or while you're listening to a podcast. During a 45 minute show I counted 8 pop up ads. Then they try to trick you into clicking on the ad by covering the play pause rewind and fast forward buttons with the ad. If this continues I'm deleting the app and look for something new.
Ads are an issue The ads are really really invasive. Not only are their audio ones, there are full page pop-ups that come up every time you press a button.
This could be a cool app, but it's stuck in offline mode even though offline mode is disabled and I have a network connection. I tried clicking the "help" button but "help" isn't available in offline mode! The only thing you can really do in offline mode is stare at the slide toggle where it shows you're not in offline mode.
Depending on the update of the moment, usually pretty great It's updated so frequently now, it's difficult to leave an accurate review. It used to be amazing, then got very annoying with an update a few weeks back, now with this update seems a little better. I sure wish this, like so many other apps, would avoid updates that make the app harder to use. My main complaint is that it worked perfectly several updates ago, then a mandatory update threw a wrench in the works. I realize they have to monetize their product, but so frustrating.
Needs some minor revisions I love the app and it performs nearly flawlessly on my new phone. (Was unusable on my old Android galaxy express) One peeve: due to lack of cell signal and a company network nanny I am forced to download everything I listen to during the day. I really dislike the last-in-first out queuing of Listen Later. If you can't/won't add a sorting feature to Listen Later, could you at least modify the queue to play first in-first out?
