What good is it ...if you can't log in anymore? I can log in just fine on my PC, but Skype on my phone (LG K7) refuses to let me log in anymore. I've even gone so far as to reinstall the application, to no avail. My only other recourse is to do a factory reset on the device.

Why y'all mad? Not sure what people are complaining about. App works great, use it all the time as a way to have a party chat between people in game. Generally don't have issues, except maybe with Bluetooth devices. If I'm connected to a Bluetooth device and in a call, then put the call on hold, I have to end the call and restart the call to have Skype reconnect to my Bluetooth device.

Dr Soop I have been a loyal user for many years and always praised features and reliability of this software. However, about a month ago it stopped making and receiving calls on my Galaxy S6 phone and nothing I would try resolve this issue. Does anyone else with the same phone have the same issue?
Nearly perfect Problems with dropping calls. occasionally when i answer a call the other person wont be able to hear me but can be fixed by just hanging up and calling again. Video freezes often. Video is really bad quality (might be our internet not skype though) i really really adore this app ^-^
Audio problem The person on the other end is not able to hear me everytime I use this app on my Samsung galaxy A5 android mobile. I don't find any audio setting options. Pls help.. the person on the other end has checked th audio on his set. It works all fine. Is there a problem with my.mobile app ??
Contact list bugged again! The app doesnt show available contacts when opened. You always have to filter your contact list to something else, then switch it back to "available" contacts again. After which, it will refresh who is actually online. This bug has been there for ages, and to this day it has never been fixed.
Problem with login The app allows to reset the password and everything else but does not login with any account. Not sure what is the issue, please resolve as Skype is the only medium to talk to my family members in Dubai. Please assist. I have a new Lenovo Zuk Z1 on cynogen mod.
If not broke, don't fix Last update broke recipient selection for pic uploads. Furthermore, it hard coded a contact read off the phone into Skype lists. What then is the point of #manualcontactadd settings toggle? Such needless frustration, I may stop using Skype altogether.
Terrible functionality Ever since the last update I cannot send messages, calls or video over WiFi, not just my WiFi either. Have to use data which is costly. And even asking to purchase credit to use the app on my laptop. Seriously fix the issues please. Using Samsung.
Deserves less than 1 star after last update Latest update ruined it on my Zenfone 2. Dark blue screen shows when calls are connected. Camera feeds don't show, just some stupid cracking noise till you get tired and stop trying. Annoying.
Gets more than unstable with every update I've been living overseas for 12 years and have always used Skype as my main way of keeping in touch with family and friends. For about the last 3 weeks it never rings when people call me instead I just see the missed call notifications by chance. This is not device specific because it happens on 3 different brand Android devices. Come on Microsoft sort it out!
Disgusting app What the hell is this app! I was getting messages though I have signed out. Then I forced stopped app through settings and cleared data too. Still i was receiving messages.Finally I uninstalled app. Still I am seen online to my friends. I would have given 0 stars as basic functionality is not working.
Average app For first couple of weeks the app was working good. Now i am getting error message that there is some problem in your Skype. When i go for solution with OTP the problem remains same. "There is some Temporary Problem in Service" . Please try after some time. Help me to fix this error.

Always problems - Moto X Play & Samsung Gal Tab S I wish I could give this app a "-1" Every time I use the internet on my phone or tablet, your app changes my status from "invisible" to "available". This has become a very large annoyance. I keep downloading this app and uninstalling when done. I would like the option to set my status as "away". More status options in general please. And when I set my status, leave it set...you're infuriating. Also I told the app not to use my contacts and it did it anyway. I also can't seem to make them go away. Such a trashy app
Perfect, but.... I love this app, I have been using it for years. The only problem is, over time people tend to build up multiple accounts. You should add a "forgot username" button because I recently got a new phone and I could not remember my old username. The problem is solved now, but I still think it would be a good idea. Thanks!
no notifications? it happens commonly and it gets really annoying especially when talking to others. i have no idea why it happens but it really makes me anxious wether i got a message or not, and i'll never know because i wont get a damn notification. it hasnt been happening recently but it did just happen to me today after the update went live, so...please.
Error messages after last update "No internet connection" error message appear always after signing after last update, and credit balance appear always as 0$, even that I'm well connected and I have balance which appear normally on my laptop but not on this stupid skype android app...
Why asking permissions again When ever we install any app that requires some permissions and then install the app but now after install the app when I want to use Skype it's asking permissions again on each and every first action and if I deny and click on never ask again then it's not working and there is no settings for this. Now I must have to uninstall and install again then it will work. Please solve these problems. Thanks
Okay but.. Mostly okay. A few crashes have me ending up having to reset my phone... BUT when I try to watch my friends' video messages, or even my own, it claims 'Video could not be found'
Can't reach loved ones abroad Recently I moved out of my home country and I have not been able to rely on Skype as an effective method of communication. Even with strong signals, great Wi-Fi, full battery, and recent updates my family is not receiving my messages, nor can I receive theirs. This app has completely failed me when I most needed it. I am very unsatisfied and will look into other methods of communication.
Keep losing my logs history Ever now an again k go scroll up an read old messages. For some reason at 1st kt cut off arounf may 14 2016 now it cuts off at 9/07/16. I haven't deleted my data on the app. I did once have to re install said all but never have I erased the data. I even try to restore it an still missing..I want this fixed this is becoming a serious issue.. an I just deleted said app an lost all my chat an now I can only go back to Oct. 3rd!?
Crap! No sync, missing calls and chats :( Totally buggy and crappy. No sync with PC! Phone's Skype even not ringing while PC's Skype is ringing. Even not showing missed call!!! Chats delayed for hours and not updating... Useless crap. Call quality terrible too even on high broadband WiFi.
Contacts Like to use Skype - just wish the latest update didn't automatically pull contacts from my entire address book without my approval. There doesn't seem to be a way to undo it or turn it off, either. (Yes, my contact adding settings are on manual and not automatic.)
Just fine. This doesn't seems to work well. My messages are always pending it takes so long, like more than an hour or ,worst, days, before it send same as when receiving messages even though you have a fast internet connection. And also, recent chats are not appearing when you cleared data then you logged in, it'll only appear after nth hourssss. The heck. I thought I was the only one experiencing this.
Just Microsoft I'm trying to recover full access to my account from years but their support can't help me. Now, my account has been hacked and the system didn't recognize it. It doesn't even allow me to delete dangerous messages sent to all my contacts. I wish I were not forced to use it!
Scam by Microsoft If you buy credits, they lock your money after 3 months and you have to waste time to reactivate or after awhile the money are lost. The international rates are among the highest on the market. Shame that, like other good products, Microsoft bought it and slowly kills it.
After taking me through two loggin walls for the same Skype account I was finally able to purchase some Skype credit. Fist time the app logged me out before I could finalize the purchase. Nothing was added to my account. The second time it proceswed successfully but processed my order as two payments. Buggy design will waste your money.
Cant be shut off. I use skype on a daily basis. 99% of the time its on my computer. With this app I have no control over where my calls end up. I have to restart skype on my computer over and over to make it work and STILL its my phone that recieves calls. Even if the app isnt running in the first place. I am now removing skype from my phone. Hoping this virus once and for all will disappear.
Frustrating Skype is not doing the job it is supposed to do. More delays, problems and cuts during the last 2 months. It stops working every 5 minutes even if u use one of the best and high speed internet providers. Now trying to use alternative applications.
User Friendly I like Skype & it's features, it has to offer. It's user friendly. The problem, I'm experiencing... regular calls coming through on smartphone, it effects volume of the audio by decreasing considerably or muting. This is problem a friend of mine is experiencing. She ignores regular call. It ends, but still effects volume of video chat after regular call ends. I usually have to disconnect, video call her again to fix problem. She has Galaxy 7 Edge. Help!
Almost Completely Useless Since Microsoft took over Skype, it has got worse and worse. They release partially tested patches, they release worthless "upgrades" that break the basic security rules of Android, and they plague us with endless adverts! Everyone I know is moving to Google Duo. It's free, not full of adverts, smaller memory footprint, faster, and works over poor connections where Skype won't even try!
