(It's 2-3 years since we updated the site, sadly, and we really ought to update it now.)
So, we're stuck. We don't have any e-mails dating back to when we first set the site up (in about 2010 I guess) or any invoice details (because it's only the free platform and we've never had a need for an "upgrade"). The contact details shown on the current site are correct and refer to an e-mail address that would come to our catch-all address if a password reset e-mail was sent, but the staff member listed left us in 2013. We would like to update the content and convert the site to run off our own domains. At the moment the website shows 2-3 year out of date information and people will just be confused if we put the correct up-to-date information up on a new website on our own domain.

Then I cancelled my subscription with them recently, and would like to get back to just using my original domain name registered under WordPress (doesn't matter if the word 'wordpress' is in the link or not, not really my main concern now, though a custom name would be more preferable). I'm just wondering how could I do that? Do I need to re-register with WordPress again, or is there another way to solve this? Hope to hear from you soon, thanks!
