It seems that any time I do an update if this app, all of my tabs disappear. The next time I open it, I just get the new tab page and nothing else. Please allow the full tab history to be synced to allow this to be restored. Re the response from the developers: I follow crbug and there aren't any new issues relating to this. Re previous version, I have no idea, but because I generally keep the device up to date, I would say 'the previous version to this one'.

Page Tabs I want to have page tabs like it shows on your pics above. My tablet has the paged tabs. I'm not sure if thats what you call it, its the tabs that stick up like a paper folder tabs. I dont like them combined in the button with the number of tabs. Then I have to click the button then choose. I like my tabs ooen to view up top side by side. How can I get that on my S6? I love everything google, my total electronic life is google when possible, except for chrome. I use dolphin browser instead, for now.

Suggestion I always use chrome, on phone or PC. I have so many tabs that exceed beyond 100 :D well I use favorites but sometimes I can't keep track of those tabs and Im a student and have so many homeworks and stuff.I thought of something like implementing options to save a "group of tabs"? So that when user wants to saved all those tabs and can be used later on is useful and also when you updated the app and may lose those open tabs and go back to zero then can be recovered like in pc version or something.

Kills my S7 battery Had this on an LG for the last couple of years and had been very impressed. Got an upgrade to an S7 and been hit with the mediaserver issues. Tried everything else with formatting sd card, doing resets, eventually force closed chrome and the media server no longer kills my battery, seems many others have this issue also.

Good except for video sites Have used chrome for about a year now. I prefer it over other browsers. However recently it's started to not play some videos. I.e. youtube will play 1 video then the next it will just hang at the start. Open the same video in the built in browser and it will play fine. Uninstall and reinstall and it fixes the issue for a few weeks but then happens again. Using a Samsung S5 on latest Marshmallow OS.

love it, EXCEPT : be a 5 star if my websites requiring a flash player would show up and let me access the full content. eg cash dazzle will not work except for news and information. the games and inbox content with motion pictures or whatever you want to call it never work and i have the flash player on my phone but I don't know what to do. I am very interested in any solutions to my issue.

Browsing speed are great but download speed are like waiting a snail to walk across a football field. Seriously. Do you guys ever thought about making the download speed run faster? Come on Google. This browser ONLY working as a BROWSER and no other thing. Pop up ads also always filling my screen even popups options are blocked.

Not thrilled with changes of this update Before downloading the latest update, I was able to easily favorite pages I liked. I was also easily able to open links in a new page, I can't any longer. Now I can't view my favorites or view open pages. Sharing pages is not as easy as it used to be. I also can't get to the history. Please remedy this. I don't use it so much now that it doesn't allow me to use it the way I used to. I really liked the previous version for ease of use. I would give it 5 stars if it still worked like the old version.
Help I love the Chrome app and very user friendly! However, yesterday and the day before I experienced something very strange and it effected Chrome. All of my favorites are delete! I get adware on the top of my browser. I tried to uninstall Chrome like a hundred times and still facing the same problem. Not only that, my phone is running so slow. Can someone please help me?
It was ok but i have an older phone and its not so good anymore The earlier version was better because it was keeping all of my private browser safe whereas this new one is putting it out for all to see, TOR it is. And I wonder if that n's gonna b cracked
I used to love this app, I still do but When this app and I first met it was so good. We just bonded. I don't know, like love at first sight. It was something I'd never experienced before. It was frightening and exhilarating at the same time. Never before had I given myself to an app so completely. We just connected emotionally, physically, I'd never known such intimacy., It was like, almost spiritual, no it was spiritual. I felt my soul soar to heights I had only read in esoteric novels. However since the update the app no longer returns my call
I dont like the merged tab Everytime i got ad page on new tab i cannot close it (it covers the whole page) or change tabs, i try force exit but when i open chrome back the ad still there. The only way to close it is by un/re-istalling chrome. This doesnt happen before update, i just exit that one tab (app page like tab) with the ad and use the other chrome tab or open new tab.

Hi there, thanks for your feedback! We'd like to investigate more about this issue. Could you post your issue with a screenshot of the ads that you can't close in our forum (https://goo.gl/7aEhrW)? Love the app except... I recently upgraded to the note 7 and ever since I havent been able to download pdf's ive had to switch over to using the Samsung internet browser. Each time i attempt to open a pdf it says unrecognized DRM protection but I've never gotten this error on any other phone on the same sites. Any ideas?
I Always Return To Chrome. I Had Tried Many Browsers, But I Always Come Back To Chrome. Runs Great On My Phone, Smooth, Simple, And No Crashes. My Only Wish Was That We Could Add Extensions To Chrome, Like A Ad Blocker Perhaps? Other Than That, I Recommend This Browser Over Mozilla Or Opera Anyday.
No complaints New browser is as good as the old one. Using it on my Samsung Galaxy S6 and it works perfectly fine. I'd never use any other browser. If your browser is slow it might have alot to do with the network connection rather than the browser you're using. Thumbs up to the Google team keep doing a great job.

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad you like our product :) Used to be fantastic .............. But since I last updated it switches Mediaserver on which them drains my battery and slows the whole tablet. Weird. I've done a complete factory reset, updated to Marshmallow and the same problem has re-occured as soon as Chrome is started. Turn off Chrome and everything works fine, use Samsungs Internet app and everything works fine. With Firefox everything works fine. With Dolphin everything works fine. What's up with Chrome?

Hi there, we've filed crbug.com/642948 to address this issue. Thanks! I just started having problems being able to close all my tabs at the same time. Every time I try to close the tabs, the app jams up and kicks me out. I have over 100 tabs open and I'd prefer not to have to shut them down one by one. I have tried to clear the cache, but that didn't help. Do you have any ideas for me? Thanks.
So, about not being able to rearrange my bookmarks... What's that about? An option to permanently request desktop views for websites would be great, too. You know, for tablets. Like this Pixel C that I'm currently typing on. Which you make. And apparently don't feel the need to optimise your own apps for... What's that about?
Samsung s6 I have no issues at all with the app. It performs perfectly for me. I've never had issues with chrome on the s6 at all. I don't do every update, perhaps every second update released, as I'm lazy. This may have saved me from a few bugs in the past by chance? ;) Love chrome and will definitely continue using it as my preferred browser on all of my devices.
Woeful The past few weeks this app crashes my phone every time I open it up. Nothing has worked in trying to fix it. I can only run it if I install all updates, but that version of Chrome isn't exactly great in itself. Can't install completely as is part of the typical bundle of bloatware that plagues Android.
Tabs reappear on each open I prefer to only use this product, but is there a setting preventing all previous tabs from opening every time one reuses the browser? IOW If during a browser search one opened 4 tabs and close the program on exit, it loads those 4 tabs again on reuse. Annoying to me. Thanks.
Can't login to guest wifi Ever since I updated, I can't login to any wifi network that requires a login via a pop up window or guest page. Think starbucks or hotel wifi networks. It won't open the login portal because it says it is not a secure connection. Can't figure out how to get around it and have tried a lot of things. Means I haven't been able to use wifi during my whole two week business trip. Super inconvenient and annoying.
The Stop Loading Button Never Works Almost all pages continually load and move the page to the top over and over again, making reading anything a battle. The stop button just doesn't stop the infinite loading. The page is all there, the images, annoying ads, text and everything but it just continuously loads. Left it alone for 10 minutes as an experiment on a big site like IGN. It was still loading seemingly nothing.
Heavy Updates Surprised to see the size of update 35MB, against reason of bug fix and speedy prrformance. Please note user has limited space on his device. And may not afford such heavy updates. Any solution such as uninstalling old and installing latest version, would do?

Thank you for your feedback. We've escalated this issue to the product team. All tabs gone I had over 50 tabs open and after last update - they all are gone! I can't restore them at all. That is just a terrible way to perform an update without either warning user or allowing to restore tabs back afterwards. Please advise if those could be restored back! I kept it up to date - so previous version would be just previous release. I had my Google account logged in, but doesn't make any difference to restoration. Please advise. Thanks.
"your connection is not private" When I use Chrome on my phone at school, I get a warning about the Wi-Fi. It says that my connection isn't private. It's because my school district monitors what you do on the internet. I know about this, yet I can't do anything on Chrome because it won't let me. Can you please add an option to continue if you are absolutely sure it's ok?
The new update erased all my open tabs!! Chrome recently updated on my tablet and my phone, and all the tabs I had open on both devices are gone! They're not even in Recently closed. I had several important things opened, so I'm royally pissed. I'm switching to another browser; one I can trust.
The best.....but Since the update, I have a little 'your connection to this site is not private' exclamation mark in my N7 2013 web address bar. Edit: Uninstalling all updates takes it back to 44.0.2403.133, this removes the ! but touching the page icon in it's place still gives the warning on non-https sites. The other N7 2013 we have is 52.0.2743.98. It has the page icon but with the warning when touched on non https. Just updated this to 53.0.2785.124 and it shows the same symptoms as mine - ! plus warning.

Update: May I know which Chrome version you don't see the exclamation mark in address bar? Can't get links to load I've been trying to post links on Facebook, but everytime ive tried it said that the like appears abusive and dismissive. I messaged the website i was getting the links from and it suggested that I disable Crowdfire from the menu. I have yet to find this menu to perform this task. I had a conversation with a chrome technician and they claimed they couldn't help because my browser was out of date. What can I do!!???
It's ok, my girl uses it exclusively, but when I'm searching for schematics/layouts...amps-Hi-Fi, or guitar, if I can't find them on Google I almost always find them on Bing, and laid out really nicely with headers and subgroups... but when I use Google browser on my iPhone it doesn't allow me to use my old school Red (R), Wht(L), Yellow(Video), RCA CORD in aux input of Vizio tv, to watch YouTube, but changing to different browsers will allow me to....?'s up?.... that's it, I'm off the wagon.
Really great...One problem tho Love the app, pretty powerful. One thing I'd love is the tab button at the top moved down or an options in Settings Menu to at least have a choice in its location (top or bottom). That would be helpful and fair on those of us using screens larger than 5.5". Kindly put this into consideration. Thanks!
Hey dumbasses VIDEOS ARE BROKEN, I've read dozens of the same reviews. Putting ALL videos in full screen or skipping ahead causes videos to freeze, videos only load the first few seconds then stop, webpage has to be reloaded to play again. I see many reviews with the same issue on many different devices, please fix asap. Also need option to set default download location. Verizon HTC 10.

Could you provide us the URL of videos that you've encountered this issue? Location not working Multiple devices tried. Sites in chrome will not let the device use location. Other browsers work fine. I am sure there used to be a bar popup at the bottom stating site asking for location? All settings in chrome and on devicd set to allow location? Also bookmarks widget continuously goes blank
Doesn't work and only getting worse. I have to make sure all tabs are closed before exiting otherwise I had to try three times before I could use chrome. Now even if all tabs are closed it freezes and stays that way for 2-7 minutes until it tells me it isn't responding and to close.It wont even open now. Chrome won't even work anymore. Chrome has been an issue for a while now but I've tolerated it because I thought the problems have improved but they have not. I have decided to find alternatives.
I hate the new update Now chrome downloads all the files using its own downloader which sucks as it does not even allow me to download a 20 mb file on a 10MB/s WiFi connection... Before the update chrome would allow the built in stock download manager to take care of the downloads which worked just fine.. Really horrified by this new update. Please Google revert the update so tht we can download our files again.
No more merged tabs, bloated, unstable Without merged tabs, if I have too many tabs open, chrome crashes and I've lost all my tabs. Unlike safari, when my phone crashes or restarts, I've lost all my incognito tabs and there's no extension like session buddy on my PC. The removal of merged tabs means browsing open tabs had become laggy, I am fed up of big corporations making decisions for us and not giving us choice.
