'Blue and Lonesome' is their first new record in 11 years.
The Rolling Stones take a look back at their inspirations this December. For their first studio record since 2005's A Bigger Bang, the classic rock legends will reimagine some classic blues tunes.
“This album is manifest testament to the purity of their love for making music, and the blues is, for the Stones, the fountainhead of everything they do," says co-producer Don Was in a statement (via Consequence of Sound).
The 12 songs feature covers from 20th century bluesmen like Howlin' Wolf and Jimmy Reed.
Listen to the harmonica-laced single "Just Your Fool" and imagine a time when blues was the norm in smoky barrooms around the US.
