Licenses
Writing on Medium, you'll be able to attach intellectual property licensing to your work from a spectrum of possibilities.
From the "Publish" drop-down menu, click on "Visibility and license" options. And then click on: "License: All Rights Reserved"—the default setting on Medium.
Note: According to the Terms of Service, the author of a story automatically owns the rights to their original works published on Medium.

You'll see a menu with some radio buttons to help you further define your story's licensing. If you're satisfied with the current setting, click "Save":

Others cannot copy, distribute, or perform your work without your permission (or as permitted by fair use).
Some Rights Reserved >
Attribution
Others can distribute, remix, and build upon your work as long as they credit you.
Attributions, no derivatives
Others can distribute your work as long as they credit you.
Others can only distribute non-derivative copies of your work.
Attribution, share alike
Others can distribute, remix, and build upon your work as long as they credit you.
Others must distribute derivatives of your work under the same license.
