  1. Plans

    1. How long may I use the free trial plan? When do I have to sign up for a paid plan?
There is no time limit on the free trial plan.
    2. Can I downgrade from a paid plan to a trial plan?
No, our trial plans are solely meant for testing the service before you sign up for a paid plan.
  2. Billing

    1. My credit card expired and I forgot to update it in time. Will you shut my forum down?
No, we will remind you via email. We will only consider further measures if you do not update your billing information after being prompted to do so.
    2. Can I pay with anything other than a credit card?
Yes, in addition to credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB) you can use a PayPal account to pay for our services.
    3. Can I pay annually instead of monthly?
We will begin to offer annual subscriptions, but they aren't here quite yet.
  3. Customization

    1. Can I adapt the forum's style to match my brand or website?
Yes, all paid plans include the option to use custom CSS as well as custom HTML in the footer and header. CSS allows you adapt colours, images and shapes of the elements on a website. Using custom HTML you can integrate your forum visually by adding menus matching those on the rest of your website to the appropriate places.
    2. Can I install a phpBB style?
Due to the customizations that we have made, 3rd party styles need to be ported to our system in order to function properly. For now, options are limited to the ones listed on our Styles page.
    3. Can I install a phpBB MOD?
Forumatic uses phpBB 3.1, which uses extensions instead of MODs. You can enable any of the extensions we have made available in the Administration Control Panel. More are coming soon.
    4. Can I get FTP access to the server?
Forumatic is designed to be a managed service requiring little to no maintenance on your part. Unfortunately, the trade off is that some level of customizability is lost and you cannot modify the code that runs your forum as it is part of a much larger system maintained by our engineers.
  4. Using a phpBB forum

Please refer to the extensive phpBB documentation as well as the database of video tutorials made available by the phpBB community.

    1. A new version of phpBB was released. How do I install the update?
Forumatic takes care of keeping the forums updated. You do not need to install updates. The team behind Forumatic works on phpBB and helps release these updates so we'll always be the first to become aware of updates.
