Improved usability

Deploy, monitor, and manage Ceph clusters with Red Hat Storage Console 2, an enterprise-ready storage management platform that reduces the complexity of managing Red Hat Ceph Storage. Using real-time data from the Ceph Calamari data service, Red Hat Storage Console 2 serves as a clean and modern interface to proactively monitor and manage health, performance, and capacity utilization.

Enhanced object storage capability

Synchronize data between global object clusters operating in multiple regions, integrate with Active Directory, LDAP, and OpenStack Identity v3 authentication systems for improved security, and access AWS and OpenStack Object Storage through enhanced API support.

Block device mirroring

Strengthen disaster recovery and archival solutions by mirroring (replicating) Ceph block device (RBD) images between two peer Ceph clusters that are located in different regions. Mirroring operations are asynchronous and crash-consistent.

Early access

CephFS, NFS to Amazon S3 gateway, and BlueStore functionality are provided as Technology Preview features. These features are only available within a well-defined support scope and are not intended for production environments.

To deploy Red Hat Ceph Storage 2 with Red Hat Storage Console 2 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, you'll need:

Installation Media

For ISO-based installations, download the ISO here.

An External Network Connection

A network connection for CDN-based installations is needed to subscribe and enable repositories hosted by Red Hat.

A network connection is optional for admin nodes in ISO-based installations.

System Requirements

A minimum of six physical systems for a production system (three monitor nodes and three OSD nodes), meeting the necessary system requirements .
