Color first with a sharpie marker, then sand lightly with 220 sandpaper. That mutes the color nicely and also makes the tubes diffuse the light better.
View Instructable »Fixed! For whatever reason, the http:// must not have stuck when you added it. But I was able to add it for you, and your link appears to be working now. Cheers!Sam (seamster)

You are on a roll with some amazing projects. Bravo, bravo!I'm pleased to know I'm not the only person who's resorted to hacking down a log with a sawzall. Not ideal, but it certainly works! :)

I used 9-LED flashlights that that ran on 3 AAA batteries. Anything similar should work though. Let me know if you make one! :)

Very cool! My wife's grandpa flew Corsairs in WW2, so they've got a special spot in my family's heart too. He had some amazing stories from his time in the Pacific. These planes in particular are a fascinating part of aviation history, and our own family history now too. Anyway, that's a side track, sorry! Again, fantastic instructable. I'm happy to see it getting some good attention and lots of positive feedback. That's always fun!

This is such a neat project. I'll have to take a crack at it sometime, albeit minus the CNC. I think it could be done with drill press and some forstner bits pretty easily. Good instructable!

Awesome workmanship, with major skills on display!I echo what Swansong said - if you ever feel inclined to do full step-by-step write-ups to accompany your videos, this would definitely be featured and probably included in the newsletter too.

I like it! I put my old 1970's era steel desk up on supports a couple years back and it's been great. I ended up building a taller base for my old office chair too, so when I really feel like sitting for a bit, I still can. But I stand about 80 - 90% of the time. Good project, nice to see how you did yours!

View Instructable »Hi Jim, Just to be clear, the pro codes are the bits in parentheses (struggle04believed). Are those what you shared, or did you share the other ID numbers which you've blurred? Those are actually database IDs that we should remove, as they are not actually relevant. As is, the actual codes you had are now showing publically so someone may have grabbed and used them! No worries, I'll send you more - check your private message inbox. Hit me up through PM if you have further questions and I'll help you out. Sam (seamster)Community Manager

View Topic »That's a very good instructable. I like all the detailed drawings with measurements! It likely slipped through the cracks for a feature due to the Christmas holiday. If I were to offer any advice it would be to include some real-life process photos of the build (granted, that's not possible if you're documenting an already-built project).Your other instructables are very good as well - you do a great job! Keep it up! :)

I pulled those hinges out of an old sewing case I had. I'm not sure if you can even buy them; you're best bet might be to find an old case and re-purpose the hinges as I did.
