A breakthrough in civilization We can't really rate Google Maps against any other "competing" apps because practically there is no competition. So, I'm rating this app based on what it has provided for, and changed in, our lives: With it, we are in a new era of civilization!

Please include Bengali in voice navigation speak out guide. Dear Google team, many of my friends using this maps for navigation purposes. But some of them unable to understand English at that moment because for most of them English is 2nd or 3rd language. So it is difficult for them to understand. So request you please add bengali language as voice navigation.

Doesn't work at all. In favour of this app I've got completely lost. When I launche the app the blue dot's getting grey after a while and it's keeping being disconnected. This app sucks.

"Searching for gps" still exists Even after last update problem still exists. Waze works great. Have android auto and still waze is not available so need to use maps but obviously cannot do to searching for gps. Uninstalling updates on maps solves problem except with AA, as AA needs the updated version. Come on google, please fix already, been months

Evolving and getting better It doesn't have a lot of the features that the old Maps did, like zoom buttons instead of having to pinch, distance-measuring tools, and being able to navigate to a destination without having to Get Directions first. However, Google has integrated Navigation into Maps and made it feel like it flows much better, and they're constantly adding support for other stuff within Maps like Waze or Uber.

Bring back the "make available offline" option The new interface may be good, yes, but NOT good enough to beat the 'make available offline' option in the previous version. Some one reading this comment might argue that this option is available in the new version by 'ok maps' thingy. Hell, it saves such a small area at a time, can't even cover a complete city. I was lucky my cell came with Google maps pre installed, I just rolled back to the previous version. Rating dropped from 5 to 1.

Problems connecting The app is fantastic... When it lets me connect! Shows accurate traffic conditions, updates routes accordingly, but recently it just won't seem to connect for navigation. I've checked all my settings, and other navigation apps are working fine, so shouldn't be due to phone/GPS settings. On Sony Xperia z5 compact

Delayed Reroute and GPS signal lost This app was the best thing that ever happened to me. I absolutely loved it until around March this year when it just began taking me completely off route and not bringing me back. I would see my car literally off the route. While that would occur my GPS signal would be lost then I'd be literally lost. My phone pushes out 30mbps so definitely not a data issue. Subsequently downloaded android apps to help. I loved this app, please fix it so that I can come back. IPhone users have been laughing at it.

Not digging the new question at end of navigation Why is it asking me if I want to walk the rest of the way? That's another click to clear it, when it used to just conveniently go away. At least make it an option we can turn off. Dropping to 4 stars.

Speed limits and cams I know that the Google Maps API contains the speed limits for every road section. I'm not sure, but probably the location of the speed cams too. Still, no info in the app, not even a speedometer. This is a basic feature of the most navis. Is Google Maps aiming at the below average category?

Maps navigation and Transit Use to work great. Ever since I up graded the phone and installed the app. my location on the map is off about a suburb block or two. Plus I had to go through a configuration set up with a representative. The previous phone worked great until I dropped it. Yup, there went the glass. Any ways, still having some issues with the navigation system. Slow.

I hope I can find a replacement This was one of my favorite apps. A few updates ago it added control over my Bluetooth and last time I went in my settings and turned off location and the apps background data. Somehow it's still using data daily even with all tracking settings turned off....GOOGLE QUIT SPYING ON YOUR USERS PLEASE!

Almost perfect A few things it could do with is: favourite a current location when offline AND have multiple locations for work and home (temporary ones for when on holiday would be even better). Walking instructions for the intermediary parts of the public transport directions would appear to be an obvious improvement.
