Submitting ChromeVox Feedback

If you have an idea to improve ChromeVox, we want to hear it! We're constantly working to make our products better, and your opinions and suggestions help us do that.

We have some Google Groups for discussions about ChromeVox and Accessibility. Join these groups to take part in the conversation.

  Join ChromeVox-Discuss to talk about ChromeVox, how it works, how it could be better, and what you think of it. To join the list, you can follow the link above, or just send an empty email to [email protected].

• Accessible

  Join the Accessible Google Group to discuss general accessibility issues and and provide feedback on how all Google products could be better.

Filing bugs

If you're comfortable using a bug tracker, please file any ChromeVox bugs you encounter to the Google Chrome bug tracker.

Using Google Feedback on Chrome OS

Google Feedback is a great way to provide general feedback about the accessibility of Google Applications. The Feedback form is built into Chrome OS, allowing you to easily input feedback on whatever Google product page you are visiting or on Chrome OS in general.

Opening the Feedback Form

• Step 1 - Open the Chrome menu

  Press ALT+F to open the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar. ChromeVox will announce "Chrome menu" when the menu is open.

• Step 2 - Navigate down to “Report an issue…”

  Down arrow until you hear “Report an issue…” and press Enter to open the form. Use the ChromeVox commands or the Tab key to navigate the fields.

Feedback Form Overview

• Text Field: Tell us what is happening (Required)

  Describe the problem you are experiencing in the text field.

  To help us find and prioritize the issue, please use the words "Accessibility" or "ChromeVox" somewhere in your description of the problem. This will help us identify accessibility reports more quickly.

• Checkbox and text field: Include this URL

  Selected by default. Deselect the checkbox if you do not want to include the url where you are experiencing the problem. Navigate to the text field if you want to customize the URL.

• Checkbox: Include this email

  Selected by default. Deselect the checkbox if you do not want to submit your email address with the feedback. Navigate to the text string with ChromeVox commands to hear the email address that will be submitted.

• Checkbox: Send System information

  Selected by default. Deselect the checkbox if you do not want to submit system information. You can select the link if you want to hear the information that is submitted.

• Checkbox: Include the current screenshot

  Deselected by default. Select if you want to include a screenshot of where you are experiencing the issue. Note, the screenshot might include confidential information, so make sure you are ok submitting the screenshot before selecting this option. Screenshots are not required for feedback.

• Buttons: Send Feedback and Cancel

  Select “Send Feedback” to submit the feedback to our tracking system. Select “Cancel” to exit the feedback form and not submit the report.
