With Pear Deck, each student in your class will connect to your presentation on any device, answer your interactive questions, and learn from their peers.

Pear Deck works like any slide presentation program you’re used to. In fact, you can even import your old PowerPoints, Google Slides, and PDFs to turn them into powerful interactive Pear Decks right from your Google Drive.

As soon as you start presenting, your students can join on any device with a web browser. Their Google for Education account and a simple code is all they need to participate.
Do you use Google Classroom? We’re integrated to make inviting your whole class roster even easier.

Pear Deck brings the classroom “clicker” into the 21st century with not only multiple choice-style questions, but text responses, numbers, drawings, draggable pins on images, and more.
Every learner grapples with the interactive activity on his or her own screen, and knows their response will be anonymous to the rest of the class. This makes it less scary to participate and makes it clear that we expect every single person in the room to be thinking and engaged.

An an instructor, you can quickly see what each individual thinks on the instructor-only session console. Noticing a lot of wrong answers? Adapt! Take a pause, back up, re-explain.
But don’t forget to help the learners help each other: Why did some people choose this while others chose that? How can we find out the right answer? What else do we need to know?

The unique Pear Deck projector view allows all answers to be displayed anonymously on the projector screen with the tap of a button. This provides the room an opportunity to learn from other answers, notice patterns, identify mistakes, and discuss each other’s ideas.

When class is finished, all of your students’ answers from your lesson are saved in their own individual Google Doc. Each student has the ability to view your questions and their answer side-by-side. Below each response, students have the opportunity to reflect metacognitively on their own answer, sharing their thought process and points of confusion. You can even share the Doc with parents or tutors so they can be kept up-to-date on the student’s progress and weaknesses.

Using Pear Deck I can really dig deeper. I can start the deeper-understanding type questions and that leads to a discussion. It's not that they're just submitting an answer.
... because hundreds of folks have amazing things to say about their experience using Pear Deck.
