Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) announces the foundation of its new spin-off Stokhos Emergency Mathematics. Stokhos provides software solutions which enable the proactive relocation of emergency services based on predictions of future demand.

Highlight

 

CWI will organize the 'CWI Lectures in honour of Adriaan van Wijngaarden' on Thursday 3 November 2016 at the Amsterdam Science Park Congress Centre.

We will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Adriaan van Wijngaarden (1916-1987), founder of computer science in the Netherlands and former director of CWI with a special programme. Several internationally renowned speakers will explore the legacy of Van Wijngaarden in both mathematics and computer science.
