CWI will organize the 'CWI Lectures in honour of Adriaan van Wijngaarden' on Thursday 3 November 2016 at the Amsterdam Science Park Congress Centre.
We will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Adriaan van Wijngaarden (1916-1987), founder of computer science in the Netherlands and former director of CWI with a special programme. Several internationally renowned speakers will explore the legacy of Van Wijngaarden in both mathematics and computer science.
