Exceeds Expectations! Love, Love, Love Lyft! 5 stars! Any time I had a problem with a driver, a csr would follow up by email and offer a discount or free ride and made sure I would never get paired up with that driver again. Always get 50% off 2 rides every other week. Can't complain!

What a joke! I decided to try lyft since they sent me a $5 credit. There were 5 of us pre gaming for a party. I sent in for a six person ride. Otman was going to be our driver but he called and didn't want to drive to our area. He told me to cancel the ride and try for another driver. When I did what he said, I got Trevor. He also wanted me to cancel the ride and hung up on me. We then tried Uber. They took us immediately with no concern. I learned, if you have more than 2 people, don't use Lyft.
HIGHLY INTRUSIVE SPYWARE The application only functions correctly when BODY SENSORS, CAMERA, MICROPHONE, CONTACTS AND CALENDAR are permanently enabled. If any single permission is turned off, the application seizes up and will not function. What do those permissions have anything to do with driving? NOTHING! Phone, SMS, and storage, perhaps. The rest, ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!! These permissions should only be requested if a specific app feature is currently needing one and that function is disabled, not permanently activated!

Connection on this ap is awful. I constantly have to reinstall it. Riders cant tell where i am and habitually cancel...when i do get a trip i often i cant confirm my pickups or drop offs. Its so stressful and annoying. I hate uber but at least their ap works. I wanted to drive lyft full time but with this crappy connection i can't
Favours the passenger, screws the driver. Uber is way better. Your "prime time" system is just the worst. It's designed to trick drivers into taking non-prime time rides while in the middle of a prime time area. With Uber, I can see exactly where my client is AND I can see what Surge price is being added onto the fare. If I'm taking time out of my day to drive these ungrateful passengers around, then you can bet that I'm going to be picky about whom I pick up. Screw lyft, I'm switching to Uber. Don't drive with these guys. They'll screw you over
My phone Vs their app? Crash, drops, errors Is it my phone that doesn't like the app or the app isn't liking the phone? I get constant crashing. Google Maps will crash I'll have drops of riders with no notification of cancel. They disappear. I also get "we're sorry but Lyft has encountered a problem with with the Google app service / Play. I just said okay the Lyft app just comes back up when it closes and then I just have to close it out or restart. I have factory reset my phone, restarted, toggled airplane mode. 10:40pm Sunday night app spamming me with notifications It's 10:40pm on a Sunday night. The app just spammed me with this notification "Heading out? Get there for less with Lyft. Just request and ride." No Lyft I'm not headed out. I'm trying to sleep. It's a work night. I'm aware if I need a ride I could select you. That's why I have the app installed. But not anymore. Uninstalling. Uber you can have my monies.
No way to turn off promotional notifications Unless you want to block every single notification from the Lyft app, including critical notifications of when your driver has arrived, there is literally no way to turn off unwanted promotional notifications within this app! These are supposed to be the good guys???!
I love the service But the app is sometimes slow overall in addition to sometimes completely lacking nearby driver pins. Today it took so long to request a ride I canceled just for anxiety of something not being right. Then it took so long to cancel that by the time I was done I was in another car and pulling out of my driveway. That's just once, but it seems strange since the app is evidently such a big part of your service.
Annoying notifications This app pops up notifications regularly for advertising. You have to turn them off in the system settings to stop them, then you also won't be notified when your ride shows up. That's enough of a reason to use Uber instead!
Only two beefs Wish they would show actual earnings after commissions after each ride. Seems misleading not doing that. Also the commissions they take are too high. Much better than Uber though.
Not as good as uber It's still way cheaper than taking a cab but you cannot select a time like uber and it's more expensive than uber. I got to a pick up point 5 minutes after scheduling a pick up and the guy cancelled because he thought I wasn't coming. It charged me 5 dollars for a cancellation fee all because the guy couldn't wait on me to walk from my room to the lobby.
Credit card declined The first time I used the app it was great and easy to use. After a few days the app kept saying my credit card is declined. There was nothing wrong with my card. Sent an email to tech support. Followed instructions on how to fix it, still says my card is declined.
Lyft rather loos drivers to UBER instead of adresssing issues with app. Destination Filter needs to be improved ! Now UBER took the destination filter idea. Who ever makes it better work will gain more customers
Basicly.. the lyft app does not function very well on my phone which is a ZTE Max 790. What does basic functions as to type in destination but the problem is the ending result is always not correct but the service is good as far as the driver Service Taxi service and everything else. But just the app is very difficult to navigate because it just sits and does pretty much nothing else. Maybe it's because my phone might be older I don't know exactly considering that it is an Android . My complaint is app.
The transition to navigating is very slow. I get stuck waiting to find out which way to go. When the app starts to navigate it reroutes a couple of times, before it gives the correct direction to go. The end destination flashes to quick. I'd like to know where I'm taking the rider before getting started.
Scammed and left without help. Got scammed on my very first ride. Lyft said that they offer no refunds and couldn't do anything about it. Be careful if you decide to use this app because there is no way to dispute charges. You may be charged up to $250 per ride for damages you didn't make and Lyft will not refund it.
Hard to use for visually impaired in Android The app is not fully accessible for visually impaired in Android system, I talked to the tech support of Lyft several times regarding this issue but nobody took care of it. I really don't like the customer support of Lyft or who makes this app.
New user & none of the promo codes work I downloaded the app, but never took a ride. I then went to add a promo code for a new user and said I couldn't use it because it was only for a first ride. Well, I've never ridden and guess I won't be trying it out.

Lyft app is solid Tip and payment options appear quickly, the pin is generally accurate and the ratings are helpful. Only draw back is wair times in raity are 2-6minutes longer than the app indicates.
LOADED = $50 in ride credits Lyft is my favorite of ways to get around southern California. I use it for bar nights, dates, events where I know parking will be a mess and It's quick affordable, drivers are great and it seems to be a good company overall. Nice drivers App is neither here nor there. I use it when needed. I certainly do not need Lyft's idiotic notifications to use the service. All of the drivers have been really great....the people at Lyft HQ seem to not understand what customer service is.
Too Much Prime Time More Lyft/Lyft Line drivers needed in San Francisco to minimize waiting time and prime time. Cmon! No noticeable improvements more than three months after their automated response below.

It says my payment option isn't valid but it took a dollar out my account but it won't take my card. I'm not going to waste my time re entering my info just so you can steal another dollar.
Free rides I was given $50 in free rides. Had to use by November 22. Never got to use all of my credit within the short time I was given my credit. More like a week. Kind of a disappointment, because it was very convenient for me to use. And my other complaint is if my total is lest say $8-$10 why can't we use our credits how we see fit for Us the customer.
Loved it, now we have problems I really loved this app until I got a new phone, while my old phone is completely demolished, it wont allow me to use my card. Not quite sure as to why but I may have to go find a different alternative.

The rides are comfortable, the drivers seem nice, until they complain the whole trip. I've had trouble with the gps navigator registering different locations whether or not for pick up or my destination. The app has changed my locations even when specified thoroughly on a number of occasions. Ive been over charged due to longer routes against my wishes and just when you need them most, drivers may cancel or simply hang up on you due to a lack of will to fix the situation and find the correct location.
App Modification Urgently There are lots of improvement since I started, but there is so much to be done on the App & very quickly. It's very frustrating at the moment.
Too many drivers in my area This sounded like a great idea at first however , it's far too many drivers in my area and surrounding areas. I am lucky if I get 3 rides after being logged in for 14 hours.
PROJECTZACKO I tried both rideshares as a passenger (Use LYFT Promo code: "PROJECTZACKO" for your city's BEST current promo *BEFORE REQUESTING* 1st ride!). Personally, they aren't even comparable *Lyft is #1!* Safe, friendly rides with drivers held to standards & background checked! As a driver, I dont juggle both- only Lyft. They've ALWAYS been supportive & helpful. While driving isn't for everyone- It requires discipline, patience & perseverance- finally having a lucrative opportunity I truly ENJOY-- that's Priceless!
Credit card only? Does this app only allow you to pay with a card or can you use cash like a taxi? I'm very confused
False advertisement The promotion on the website is very misleading because it says $50 off first rides and then you are told when you sign up that you get five dollars off the first ten rides. This should be reworded to avoid confusion.
Today was my first time using Lyft. I had a very courteous driver who was prompt, had a very clean car and was a careful driver. I would recommend a short intro video for first time users explaining that you can call your driver to give more details. I will use Lyft again.
B$ fees Keep getting charged $5.00.(total$25+)noshow fees-even though I was standing outside with my kids. I've contacted the company several times without a response..was good in the beginning but drivers should wait a max of ten min for customers... There were days when my phone died and as a result drivers left me and my kids causing me the unnecessary fee and request then wait for another driver....switching to uber..hopefully I won't incur unnecessary charges and canceling that I have not authorized..
