Who should use this guide
This section of the Maps APIs documentation is for customers with a previous Google Maps API for Work or Google Maps API for Business license.
This section is not for customers with the new Google Maps APIs Premium Plan license, which became available in January 2016 for new customers and customers who are renewing their license. If you have the new Premium Plan, see the Premium Plan guide.
How to check your license type
To determine whether you have the new Google Maps APIs Premium Plan or a previous Maps for Work or Maps for Business license, check any of the following:
- Usage Reports in the Support Portal: Log in to the
Google for Work Support Portal and
click Maps: Usage Report in the navigation bar on the left. If you
have the new Premium Plan, your ID appears the following format at
the top of the report:
gme-[companyname] & proj-123456789012 ([type])
If your ID is in a different format, you have a previous license. - Order form or Welcome letter: If the SKUs on your order confirmation or the Welcome letter you received via email start with MA4W-, you have the new Premium Plan. If the SKUs start with GGB-, or GM-, or GPB-, you have a previous license.
- Google Maps APIs contract: If your contract has an addendum titled “Google Maps APIs Premium Plan,” you have the new Premium Plan license. If you don't have that addendum, you have a previous license.
