Thats what webmention is for, yes. Right now its slightly different as the syndicated copies don't know about the original. Also no feedback of comments. Hoping that fix gets pulled in soon and people start to use the plugin. There are already plugins for wordpress and drupal, i'm hoping to get some for pump.io, friendica, and diaspora too.

You could with the latest webmention / linkback plugin. I am manually syndicating right now. (but all the context is pulled in automatically.)
