NBC SportsThe school year in one suburban New York community has started with funerals, fear and frustration. Four teenagers from Brentwood High School on Long Island have been found dead within the past month, all suspected victims of gang violence. On Sept. 13, the day before her 16th birthday, Nisa Mickens' brutally beaten body was found on a tree-lined street in Brentwood. A day later, the beaten body of her lifelong friend, 16-year-old Kayla Cuevas, was discovered in the wooded backyard of a nearby home. ABC NewsWhoa, Big Bang Theory. Apparently This Is Us isn't the only show to bring out the emotion this fall. Tonight's Big Bang was uncharacteristically heavy, but it worked beautifully given what's happening in the lives of our favorite group of misfits. (Spoilers ahead!) Last week, Bernadette struggled with the realization that she might not get to work on a significant research project because of her pregnancy. The DriveBernie Sanders told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that Hillary Clinton was “absolutely correct” when she said many of his supporters were living in their parents’ basements and struggling to find jobs. “During the campaign we had our differences, but what she was saying there was absolutely correct,” Sanders said during an interview Sunday morning in response to the newly leaked audio of Clinton talking about his supporters during a private fundraiser in February. “You have millions of young people, many of whom took out loans in order to go to college, hoping to go out and get decent-paying jobs, and they are unable to do that,” said Sanders, who endorsed Clinton two months ago. Clinton’s remarks came during a fundraiser at the home of former Ambassador Beatrice Welters, and the audio was released by the conservative publication The Washington Free Beacon on Friday night.
ABC NewsThe past year has been full of milestones for Princess Charlotte. Since becoming fourth in line to succeed the throne in May 2015, Charlotte has experienced her christening and first public appearance at Trooping the Colour, and most recently, she embarked on her very first royal tour with older brother Prince George and her parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William. As we got a glimpse of Charlotte during her time in Canada - waving to fans, playing with balloons, and smelling a bouquet of flowers - we couldn't help but notice how similar the adorable 1-year-old looks to her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II. The striking resemblance is evident in their round cheeks, wide smiles, and big, bright blue eyes. Days after Charlotte's birth, the queen said of her fifth great-grandchild, "We love to have another girl," while Kate revealed that Charlotte is "very cute" but "has got quite a feisty side." Sounds like she and the queen have more in common than looks.
