Redditor Koodoo25 slowly built up the virtual city using data and images from Google Maps, Emporis, and Skyscraper Page, along with models from SketchUp 3D Warehouse to make the model accurate down to the details on the buildings’ facades. “There may be a few tiny details or dimensions a little bit off, but everything down to the placement of street lights and trees was done to recreate what I saw in Google Maps StreetView as accurately as I could,” the creator writes on Reddit. "Activision will take Call of Duty back to its roots and traditional combat will once again take centerstage," Activision CFO Thomas Tippl said in the call.

Which is why gamers who loved this genre bought Call of Duty. Maybe its a good idea to actually listen to what your customers want. Rather improve the game play and gaming experience.

New PC horror game set in the Free State, South Africa coming to Steam

Among the Innocent: A Stricken Tale will release on Steam on 14 February.

Among the Innocent is a first-person adventure thriller set on a remote farm in the Free State in the year 2001. The game is inspired by point-and-click adventure games of the 1990s, with the player taking on the role of struggling writer Peter York.

When struggling writer Peter York becomes trapped on a remote farmstead in the eastern Free State, South Africa, he is forced to confront a dark history in his bid for freedom. Among the Innocent is the first of five instalments in the Stricken series, each exploring a stage in the Kübler-Ross model for dealing with grief and loss. In this epic series, players will be challenged in a rich narrative experience that spans multiple decades and storylines. The Stricken series blends elements of classic point-and-click adventures with modern first-person games, and delivers a mature story for players who long for intrigue.

Quite interesting, apart from the grief and loss angle, as you don't see many games set in South Africa.

Classic puzzle adventure 'Myst' comes to Android

Myst needs little introduction. The puzzle adventure game was a smash hit when it originally released on the Macintosh in 1993. Now, it's available on Android too. The latest port, developed by mobile studio Noodlecake, is called realMyst and features a bunch of improvements, including "dynamic environments," a built in hint guide and "bookmarks" for saving and restoring your progress. You will, of course, have to put up with touchscreen controls, or hook up a Bluetooth gamepad for some analog stick action. Otherwise, it's classic Myst, with the iconic island and devious puzzles faithfully restored.

rAge Gaming Expo 2017 – Johannesburg and Cape Town dates confirmed

rAge Expo is the biggest annual gaming event in South Africa, featuring everything from cosplay competitions to a weekend-long LAN party.

rAge Expo Cape Town will take place from 27-29 April at Century City Conference Centre.

The Johannesburg event will be held from 6-8 October at the Ticketpro Dome in Northgate.
