Funny cat photos, trending news stories, and the best discussions on the internet—these are just a few of the awesome things the official Reddit app does best.
On Reddit, there’s a community for every subject imaginable: your favorite sports team, relationship advice, memes, the latest in news and politics—all in real time.
And if you like gifs (or jifs, jiffys, glyphs, ifs, however you choose to mispronounce it), we’re positive you'll love it.
What’s that you say, girl? “What about a community dedicated solely to images of cats standing on their hind legs?”
We got that, too.
Whether you’re into movies or space travel, baking or weight training, cheesy dad jokes or more NSFW humor, world news or Hollywood gossip—or all of the above—you can instantly share your content and ideas with an audience of millions.
We’re not saying Reddit is like all your favorite apps put together. But if we were saying that, we’d tell you it has:
• the trendy headlines of Twitter
• the educational content of Quora
• the viral pics of Memebase and Imgur
• the jokesters of Tumblr
• the lols of 9GAG and theCHIVE
• the cringeworthy personal stories of FML and Fail Blog
• the rage comics of fourchan
• and the powerful, human stories found only on Reddit.
(Oops, we went full circle.)
So the next time you’re bored and need a break—wait, you’re bored right now? Why are you still reading this? Download the app already!
Those cats won’t stand on their hind legs forever...

Work in progress I love this app, it's always being updated, the interface is great and really easy to use. The only thing i wish could happen is make it easier to find my posted comments. When I go into 'my comments' and click on the post I commented on, I have to look through the entire thread for my comment to see if anyone has replied! When it's a big post it can take so long to find my original comment!

Great interface Nice UI, comfortably-sized thumbnails and easy to read font makes my Reddit surfing time much more enjoyable and fun. Just a question, why orange coloured logo and "+" button but blue tab when swiping to the left? No complaints though colours are pleasing but inconsistent.

Works great Very simple and functional user interface. Great for a mobile app. On my phone (s7), sometimes I can't give karma unless I go into the comments section, but this only happens rarely, and it's probably for the best anyway...

1 problem Preopened gifs just dont load and dont have a pause menu or anything its just tap, wait 20-30 seconds to load or accidentally cancel the whole thing by tappi g the screen. Otherwise great app. Ps: its not my internet as i have 20mb/s download it shouldn't be a problem. Also gyfcat links work perfectly fine

Does exactly what I want; makes me smile! Reliable and crash-free on my Nexus 5, I use the Reddit app every day and it keeps a very long train commute entertaining! It also connects me to my local expat community, which is truly helpful. Thanks!

Rough around the edges Reddit is great, but this app is a bit unrefined. Weirdness I've experienced includes: some images can be zoomed, some can't; collapsing a comment tree makes it disappear entirely, so it can't be expanded again. In the past I used Reddit is Fun!, and it seemed better. Maybe I just had lower expectations of RiF! because it was unofficial.

Much Awesome, very excite. I spend a lot of down time at work looking at Reddit and recently have used this app as a way to monitor how much exposure my writing gets. I'm glad this is available now so that I don't have to wait till i get home to figure out if I need to adjust the times I post. The UI is for the most part great with a few quirks here and there that are relatively easy to ignore. Ad long as you are not hard to please you should like this app.
Love This app helped keep my mind and heart calm while I was visiting my mother in the hospital for a month(I only used it while she was asleep. She slept a lot..). Couldn't have asked for a better distraction..
Does the job adequately But has a few breaking bugs and not as full featured as some 3rd party apps. Like "spoiler" tags opening a Blank screen instead of revealing the hidden spoiler.
Whatever you're looking for, it's here. Simply put, if you can think it, there is probably a subreddit for it. Used by people from all walks of life and from all over the globe, Reddit is a great place to not only connect with like-minded individuals, but also to learn a thing or two about anything and everything.
Great, but too many ads. At least the desktop site kept ads at the top or off the side of the page. Here we have an advertisement between every 4-6 posts. It's a bit excessive. Otherwise, it's a great app that is simple to use.
Super easy to use Love the new and updated version of the Reddit app. Speedy and very compatible with .gifs, videos, and just about all other media. Unlike previous versions I've had, this one is very resistant to crashing, even with several other tasks running on my phone simultaneously.
The reddit I love but... It's mobile reddit in an app, pure and simple. And it's great! However, it has its problems. Some glitches such as gifs not working and a pretty large number of crashes. Not unusable, just a tad annoying at times.
Needs better inbox notifications, no way to easily read mail, comment history/inbox UI can be improved. Would also like to see the settings account specific so if you switch accounts the same settings don't get applied - useful at work when you don't want things auto playing, etc.
Alien Blue was better This app is a shell of there last app Alien Blue. I am constantly get loaded into the top link and having to restart at the top when browsing. It's frustrating and infuriating that they had a good app but abandoned it because of it being ad free.
Very close to perfect Looks good, works well mostly. Still a couple of bugs with hiding/expanding comments and there's no notification system, but apart from that it's a great app that does exactly what I need it to.
Like the app So far there are things I like about this app. My go to reddit app is relay, but this works as a backup or when I want to use something else. The photo preview is much better. Overall it's definitely worth downloading.
Missing a few useful features, but decent Wish it saved your spot in the stream, also no subreddit rules or bling available. Would also be nice to have the imgur app tie in somehow instead of a link to the app that takes too long
Great app This app is great. The only thing I find annoying is when the red plus button disappears and I up/down vote something at the bottom of the screen, it thinks I want to submit a post even though the button isn't visable. EDIT: Issue fixed with new update 9/27/16
Works fine A bit annoying when going back from a post and the thumbnails refresh so you get pushed away from the recent post. Gifs sometimes does not load.
Reddit is what you make of it The site is infinitely customizable for a personal experience. Some people like to talk or argue. I like to look at pictures of cats. And sometimes dogs, too. And sneks. Always updoot Mr. Skeltal. Doot doot!
My go to source for realness!! oh yeah and trump is a super idiot. if every dollar he had were stoopid he'd be a billionai...never mind
The app provides no easy way to open a post in a browser if they decide to "integrate" the media into the app. This is a problem for things like gfycat links that don't play in the app well.
works..... occasionally. love reddit (the site) this app though.... not so much. used to be great, now it crashes everyday. when it does successfully work i would exactly call it a "success" as it fails to load over half the items and after spending 5 minutes loading a page (at 3-5 bars service) it still crashes. using a samsung galaxy s6 edge. debating removing altogether and going back to just clearnet site.
Welp, I'm smarter now Remember when you didn't get something in class and you went to the geeky kids and were like "hey explain this to me and I'll give you some weed"? They're all on reddit and they do it for free now. You can learn literally anything that is known with this app. When you reddit, you roll deep.
Forget Facebook, Reddits always a great read. It's like knowledge crack. I love to read stories and opinions from around the world and it's the first place for breaking news. Great read and scan while I'm awake in the early hours feeding my baby. So addictive.
The apps great But it kept whining at me to rate it. So here's my rating: piss off with that annoying garbage.
Great app. Spend more time on it than any other app The only problem is on my galaxy s6, I can't seem to have the option to download video or photo by holding the picture. I always have to take a screenshot of it.
Best way to reddit on Android but... This app is probably the best way to reddit on Android, I like it more than any of the unofficial clients I've tried so far except for one thing. I really wish that it worked in landscape on tablets (and phones), and, ideally had a dedicated tablet interface with posts on the left side that show the comments on the right side when you tap them. Just a suggestion.
Love it! My friend turned me over to Reddit about a week ago. I can't go for 5 minutes without finding something else interesting and blowing through my phone battery. I just love this.
The app Hated having to use an app instead of a browser but you get used to it after a time. Seeing post reply notifications could be better.
Needs a few tweaks 1.) Search for anything in searchbar, change filter to top/all time or whatever and click a link. Hitting the back button returns you to the search field defaults making you change the filters again for any link you click. 2.) No way to see the karma you've racked up per comment without hunting for your comment in whatever thread it it was. This kills the redditor. 3.) Most gifs or videos that open in app refuse to load. Said posts never have an option to open external until searched thru search bar again.
Good few flaws The invisible post button in the bottom right corner is annoying. Sometimes gifs won't load and crashes whole app
It's a really good app. Digging it. It's great for my basic reddit needs when i cannot get to my computer. The developers of the app are fixing problems that the app has. They are making an effort to improve the app. The app gets updated a lot. Multiple times a day to be exact.
Best Website - Decent App My favourite website finally made their much needed app and after extensive use i can say im pretty satisfied with the result. The inbox icon is in totally the wrong place, having to back out to front page and then click menu bar then hope u dont click on your own name is silly. Change this. Im afraid to say that IOS has the bottom menu bar correct. The app still needs some features from the main website but they can come in time, ill still be using this for a long time coming.
Works fine Sometimes doesn't have anything to load anymore. I'm subscribed to over 40 cats subreddit and they don't all show on my front page. Sad.
4 stars is not bad you know... I want to give 5 but it just doesn't feel right. But dont get me wrong. I love using this app!
Crashes regularly The app crashes regularly on my Nexus 6p. I still love you though, Reddit.
Most interesting news just by scrolling down Got into reddit and subscribed to about 30 subreddits I thought were interesting. Almost every day I go to look at my reddit news post I smile, learn something new , laugh , find something really interesting, or get sad.
It's 'OK'. A couple of problems for me. Back navigation doesn't work properly and app freezes up intermittently. Updated to 4 stars, seems much better.
