We've actually never allowed petitions.

They serve as little more than email farms.

Because all the states are done voting and Clinton has the delegates necessary to be the nominee.

If Bernie somehow gets the nomination, we will immediately kick the "For President" subreddits back into full gear.

Even if Bernie drops out, the ride doesn't end. He will keep fighting in the Senate to build a massive coalition of progressives and we will fight alongside him. That's why we made /r/Political_Revolution.

David and I built SFP back in 2013 "just in case." We're doing the same thing with this new subreddit.

Did Bernie just concede? by bernietaughtme in SandersForPresident

He's leaving the door open for any and all possibilities. Pretty standard comms strategy.

Did Bernie just concede? by bernietaughtme in SandersForPresident

He said he will take his fight to the convention.

That doesn't automatically mean he has to stay in the race to bring his platform to Philly, mind you, but he definitely did not concede today.

IF he were to concede, he would wait until after DC.

It was actually a Reddit issue, not AutoMod. Though she has gone rogue a few times this week, too.

Not most AutoMods, but we have a few custom scripts that update our donation thermometer, phonebank counters, etc.

Friends. I think automod has gone rogue again. This happened earlier when she deleted our sidebar and other theme customizations. We're looking into it.

[META] Bernie Sanders is not going to run third party. by [deleted] in Political_Revolution

Bernie endorsing Clinton and Bernie continuing the political revolution are NOT mutually exclusive. He wants progressives to get elected all over this country and he also wants to stop Trump.

So. Yes. /r/SandersForPresident will fight on, but not behind Clinton. We will fight for the twenty progressive downballot candidates Bernie has endorsed, and we will support real progressives beyond that (not Clinton).

Pretty disappointing that you'd be willing to end your part in this movement if Bernie endorses Clinton and supports her.

The movement will live on if Bernie doesn't run in the general. He will continue the fight from the Senate and I'm sure there will be tens of thousands of us on here fighting alongside him.

Here's an interesting question. Do you believe it's possible for Bernie to "take his fight to the convention" even if he drops out of the race? It's not like he can't still affect the party platform..

Technically yes, by someone who kept it private waiting to see if it would ever be useful. We acquired it just a few days ago.

Why is it okay in your mind to break a promise to us but not a promise to the DNC?

I never said this, and I apologize if that's what it sounded like. Dunno how to he any less vague than that.

I never said it was okay for him to do anything. I've just told you what I think he will do.
