This is why we build ProtonMail. Harvesting of users data is a huge business with far reaching consequences of which we have not yet fully seen. No need to wait for regulators to try to figure this out when there are existing alternatives. “Nothing in these rules will stop edge-providers from harvesting and monetising your data, whether it’s the websites you visit or the YouTube videos you watch or the e-mails you send,” declares Ajit Pai, an FCC commissioner.
