Question: is it worth exposing more information about the type of cellular (and other) connections? E.g. HSPA vs LTE, 2G vs 3G vs 4G. If yes, how would you use it? Concrete use cases would go a long way here! And if not, why not?

#DevTools Tip: Enhanced Network Filtering with autocomplete

Network filtering just got a bit better, you can now filter resources by certain fields such as Domain. Apply a filter like this: Domain:website.com. In addition to filtering, you also get autocomplete suggestions for valid filter values.

Font downloading can be a performance nightmare and the browsers handle rendering-during-download differently. Thankfully, a new CSS proposal gives you full control! Here's me telling +Paul Lewis about it.

Less than 48 hours remain for us to ask W3C members (ACs) to cast their vote for candidates who support reforms that continue to open up the process and find ways to give developers a proper voice in the process.  If you believe that we need changes to how we think about and develop standards - like those described in the extensiblewebmanifesto, I encourage you to share, plus, tweet your support for candidates who have expressed support for things we care about.  The W3C AB is advisory in nature, but their job is to work with and advise the W3C and membership, which means it is an excellent space to put people who can carry and help represent the interests of currently disenfranchised developers too (as I explain in my last posts briankardell.wordpress.com/2014/05/20/desparately-seeking-jimi/ and https://medium.com/@briankardell/developers-of-earth-750d6fee536c).
