President Moon Jae-in on April 10 arrived at Andrews Air Force Base in Camp Springs, Maryland, near Washington at 5:25 p.m.
He and first lady Kim Jung-sook were welcomed by Acting U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Japan and Korea Marc Knapper, David Sumera, commander of the 89th Airlift Support Group, and other American officials as well as Korean ambassador to Washington Cho Yoon-je.
President Moon will rest for the day, and his itinerary will start on the morning of April 11 with meetings with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, National Security Adviser John Bolton and Vice President Mike Pence.
