Is it possible to hate training but love it at the same time?

Sound confusing doesn't it? However if you push your body beyond what you are physically capable of doing you will experience the true power of your mind.
Still confused? Let me explain. A few months ago I was running on the treadmill to lose weight and get that Bruce Lee ripped look. I ran 8-10 kilometres everyday and then trained a few hours of powerlifting afterwards.

Then one day I found myself really struggling to make even 8 kilometres on the treadmill. My aim for that day was 10 kilometres. When I finally got to 8 kilometres I was ready to go home. But I didn't want to let myself down so I kept on running. But the mind games got harder and harder to the point where I had to set small goals and tell myself "conquer 100 metres at a time". And this game went on until I hit the 9 kilometres mark. By then I was truly hating this but somehow I was also loving the fact that I nearly quit at 8 kilometres but managed to get to 9 kilometres. So I kept running. But the mind games were more stronger in those last 1000 metres.

I had to now conquer 50 metres instead of 100 metres to stay in the game. Finally I reached 10 kilometres.
The biggest lesson I learned was not that night. But the next day when I did it all over again. But this time 10 kilometres was like running 6 kilometres. No mind games, nothing. It was like my mind went to the next level, similar to breaking a bone and the repair makes it stronger.

So from then on I embraced the hate/love relationship in my training and it has taken to levels that I could never have imagined, had I quit that night.

Train hard, train smart!

Val.

I had to be told that this is what happens when there is an extremely limited amount of both toast with butter, cinnamon and sugar and chocolate milk . This is the same facial expression of 96% of female people in middle school, towards me. It's hard to unsee. It was like a living hell everyday. #keepgoing It's not you, it's them. It's a part of who they were and probably still are. If it wasn't you, it would have been someone else. If it's that bad and the school won't provide you with a safe environment, then move schools for your well being and daily safety. Stress is bad news for your health. I was never told I was toast with butter, cinnamon and sugar, until I had to be told bc I didn't understand why they were so full of animosity.

If you have kids and they are toast with butter, cinnamon and sugar or chocolate milk, protect them or explain what inferiority complexes are so they can understand that it's not them, but the other people and how they feel about themselves.
